Emmaus (the big second hand place you went in portslade) is actually a really beautiful charity where they help homeless people get off the streets by giving them jobs in the second hand shops, accomadation on site - Flats are above the cafe - which they pay a small fee for with there wages. Its a wonderful way to help homeless people get off the streets by migrating them back into society with work! Just wanted to let you and Sean know xx
All the clothes are beautiful! And look so comfy for pregnancy. Some of them might not be super easy for access when breastfeeding if you’re thinking about afterwards, depends what you’re looking for ❤️☺️

Poppie, have you checked your iron levels? Crunching on ice is often an indicator of iron deficiency anemia. I had this when I was younger. It's called pica or pagophagia. I had a fibroid that caused blood loss, hence the anemia. Once this was sorted, the need for crunching ice disappeared.
Wishing you all the best. If you're craving ice it's for sure probably low iron. I had such low iron in pregnancy. It happens quite often

Just wanted to stop by and give a tip about the maternity clothing hall. I'm a new mum myself and did not think of this when I was buying clothing so thought it may be helpful 🤣
If you're trying to collect some pieces that will last you beyond pregnancy and into postpartum, keep in mind whether or not you may wish to breastfeed. If this is something you may want to do, look for pieces with buttons or zips for easy access to the boob 😂 I noticed some or the jumpsuits had them and some did not so this may help you narrow down your options :)
Whatever you do is right for you and your baby so please don't feel like this is a suggestion that you should breastfeed but rather some advice from someone who spent money on clothing they thought would last through postpartum however quickly realised this was not the case and had to buy more clothes again 😂😅

I really can’t recommend the book Love you Forever more! It’s such a fantastic book. I read it to my girls when they were young and I’ve bought a hardcover edition for each daughter when they started having babies. There’s a famous line in the book repeated over and over and I still sign my girl’s and grandkid’s cards like this, I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, as long as I’m breathing my baby you’ll be.
I think we are due around the same date.. I’m 25 weeks this coming Wednesday. Changing your clothes 4 times a day to be comfy is defo me too right now! Thank you for showing us your maternity haul. It’s so tough deciding how many pieces / what to keep! xx

A lot of women on those pants will wear the waistband below their bump but if that’s not something you’re comfortable doing then don’t worry about it. I have three grown daughters and we definitely didn’t do that back then lol

Hi Poppy ! I have a little tips for the leg cramps, you can try to put a big bar of Marseille soap between your mattress and the box spring, I’m sure you’ll a difference ! It can be strange but it’s an old tips haha
Poppy I just had my baby 3 months ago and actually eating ice while pregnant may mean low iron. I was obsessed with munching on ice and that was the reason.

A glass of tonic water before bed can help with leg cramps (don’t over do the tonic water cause it could have adverse effects but a glass at night should be fine )
You do look comfy but most of the jump suits actually look a bit big for you x

Might be worth keeping an eye on your iron levels. A craving for munching lots of ice can be a sign of anaemia. I developed severe anaemia this year and couldn’t understand why I had so much ice. Once I was diagnosed and had an iron transfusion the craving went away. Look up PICA. Just a suggestion. You are blooming Poppy, so happy for you and Sean. X

I recommend new-look for maternity wear. I got a few of there dresses and wore them my pregnancy and loved it. I also recommend a maternity jacket it’s the one thing that drove me crazy until my last and I bought a maternity jacket 😂.
