I love the frameless candles, so much safer than a real flame. Safer for kids too, not to mention you get rid of smoke on the walls. There are neat ones that have things embedded in the wax that shows up when lit. Like twigs and leaves.
I have recently just had my first scan for my first baby (it didn’t feel real until then so it was almost kept a secret apart from my close circle of friends and family) but now I’m not feeling in denial anymore, seeing videos of hospital bag packing and sorting new baby stuff is also making it feel so real for me and is getting me so excited!! you can get a candle warmer if you dont want to actually light them! its basically like a lamp that is pointed at a regular candle and the wax melts and releases the scent! it usually makes them last even longer!

Wow your mom rocks for ironing all of those baby clothes. A labor of love for sure. They look brand new with her hood effort. Tell her good work! The blue and black and white are my faves and then the modern looking one with a jumper is a good one for some other days. The lounge is really coming along. Go team baby! And those candles are great and much healthier. You should get a pretty essential oil diffuser just for zenning out maybe by your planned baby nursing chair.

I would recommend taking two separate weekend bags for baby and for you for the hospital rather than a suitcase. The wards are so cramped there’s literally no space to open up your suitcase, I couldn’t get to any of my stuff! Also even while in a private room while in labour you’re not allowed to keep a suitcase out, it has to be closed and in the toilet area. Suitcase ends up being really impractical!
we've never had a problem with suitcases at NHS or Private. We took cabin sized and they were fine for us to access - it made it easier to move things for us too. think it can be totally hospital dependent

A bit random but highly recommend getting a little metal shelf that hangs of the shower part where you control the temperature and pressure. Really nice for storing products as you're showering.

for candles get a warmer or a light warmer i use them and they have a 4 hour timer limit so i turn mine on and let them go without worry because i know they'll turn off and it smalls so good in my room always without the fear of burning ur house down or black soot on the walls

If the Dunelm chair you're referencing is the 'beatrice' range, then it's not great. We have and it's perfect as an occasional chair that looks nice, but it's not the cosy, snuggle chair vibes that it gives off.
