It honestly blows my mind how little these places have changed in 30 years.
More like 40 years, but still, it’s surprising
@@TheSecretWorldRules The flying cars is a mockery. "They" will never allow "us" to have it.

biffs house still looks pretty much the same XD
If I owned Marty's house I would buy a Delorean and keep it parked in the driveway to really mess with all the tourists who come and visit
sounds clever, but you really REALLY wouldn't. I had a college roommate who lived NEXT DOOR to the mork & Mindy house ... they'd be woken up multiple times weekly by people filming AND STEALING ITEMS OFF THE HOUSE at night.
alcohol, extra time, self-humor and film lust are an extremely volatile combination.
+Gil Edwards I think the problem would be that it might get stolen.
+RogerWilco
think about it. no one steals a DeLorean.
for long.
+Gil Edwards dude that is the best idea! I would also buy a prop hover to put in the delorean
Gil Edwards A DeLorean and a Toyota 4x4!
This movie is so iconic, If I owned the McFly house, i'd feel obligated to keep everything the same.
Probably a good idea, since "Brady Bunch Home Sells To HGTV For $3.5 Million - $1.6 Million Over Asking Price".
Oh yes!!! owning this home its a must to keep as original as possible!
My all time favourite film. I saw it six times in 1986 here in the UK and it changed my life. Basically, I WAS the teenage dad and I made my mind up to be the adult dad in the "fixed" future....and I did it.
"If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything."
Nobody had ever said that to me before.
I retired for life last year at the young(ish) age of 54, with no financial worries ever. Thank you, BTTF!!!
Great scott!
That's Heavy!
I saw it 10k times already. Diamond.
I worked at the Fridays at 6:50 in the puente hills mall (twin pines mall)for a few years, lived right down the street... I never grew tired of seeing that parking lot knowing Christopher Lloyd and Michael J Fox filmed one of the best scenes from BTTF there...
Why do I get emotional watching this
you not the only one man.. very natural.... That movie made millions to dream.. plus those eighties, innocence days..
I am exactly the same! pulls the heartstrings like crazy!
right in the childhood, them feelz man
It feels like Im there actually it's weird...
Localos Salos hahahahahaha
Omg I can’t believe you found all the movie locations after all this time ... what a frill that must of been .. 👍🏻
There is even an app available on Playstore for finding them in the map
Deybin Mendoza are these locations all in 1 city? Would be cool to live there 😃
My aunt used to live in the same block where Marty’s house was n trust me it’s not much of a thrill to live in this movie location let alone how big was this trilogy n u have all sort of people roaming around please have some consideration for the people that live there
@@cesarsanchez7768 you ever ate any cheese before
It must not be hard if they marked, they are close to visit and a nuclear fallout didn"t occour in the meanwhile.
When We feel down. My Family and I watch The Trilogy one day after the other . It Really Changes our mood. Absolutely Love BTTF . Classics like These Never Die.
I lived in "Hilldale" from 1986 until I left home for college. The street is Doris Ave. in Oxnard, California, and I lived two blocks down from where Marty's truck first stops (the traffic light there doesn't exist in real life). The street where the Rolls Royce came out of was the street I would turn onto on my way home, and I actually watched them film BTTF 3 there for two days back when I was in junior high school. When they were filming, BTTF 2 hadn't come out yet, so I didn't know that Elisabeth Shue had been cast as the new Jennifer. So I saw her sitting in the grass during a break in filming and wondered to myself, "What's the girl from Karate Kid doing here?"
The cost of living in Oxnard must be pretty high with being so close to the ocean.
that's awesome!
It's not too bad.
That's cool as heck
805Bruin you know what's funny is that Marty's house is in arleta California, lions city intersection is Karel canyon and Sandusky Ave. he went to visit doc when he was parked in front of jcpennys in puente hills mall 35 mins away, he went on his skateboard all the way from arleta to puente hills. and on back to the future 3 he went with his gf to Oxnard on his black Toyota truck. hehe that's 1 hour away from the valley.
The music from 3:57 melted my heart.
Nostalgic.
Spine tingling isn't it
Me too my friend.
I did not even notice it until i saw your comment 😧
Literal, me hizo llorar este momento
I will use it for my ringtone or something
I always thought these movies were filmed on a movie studio property but to see that these places do really exist make the nostalgia of these movies live on far beyond those on sets that eventually become dismantled for another movie to film on. Future generations who watch what are now called classics can find another way to connect with the movie. Like you guys did. Thank you for sharing! This video has to be impacting a lot of people in a very positive way!
Yeah the only set pieces were hill valley in 1885 and the whole courtyard in front of the clocktower
Thanks for making this video mate! And that tree by Lorraine’s house, been 35 since the shot and I hope it stays like that for many more years.
I am really impressed that the environment didn‘t changed that much! Nice vid and greetings from Germany

Couldn't of said it better myself. A true , moving and uplifting visit to the iconic scenes that all bttf fans love and adore.
8:00 that’s the funniest thing I ever seen people are probably looking and saying “why is that boy laying on the side of the road with someone recording him
This video is so brilliant and expertly executed! It has been my favorite trilogy for 35 years, and your family has brought this nerd SO MUCH JOY AND SATISIFACTION! thank you for this. This was accomplished with utmost possible meticulousness. Bravo! 🍻 👏🏼
This is my favorite movie of all time. I watch it when I am feeling down. I watch it when I am feeling good. I just love it. So, thahnks for this treat.
Marcelo,
God bless you! Why do you feel down? Know that you’re loved.

Ahh, well done, you guys did amazing work, thank you so much. Here's hoping you still had time to have a holiday too. Kind regards from the IOW.

Amazing how the "Twin Pines" HUGE parking lot remains the same, 30 years later!!
Cesar Dominguez Well kinda. All the traditional west coast single level mall structures on the borders of it are all modernized now. The JC Penney is no more.
why would a parking lot change though?
@@annebrady1870 Exactly
Well it’s a parking lot.

Um, I guess the Disneyland parking lot in Anaheim hasn’t changed at all since opening 17 July 1955, has it?
Props to your wife and son that helped bring your vision of making this video into a reality.
I am from pakistan, we watch the movie, all three parts during the same era.
How movies used to connect people was just amazing.
I love American fiction. Btf is my favorite.

Thanks so much for filming and sharing this! I love these movies! I was 24 and worked in a movie theater when the first came out. The movie stayed in the theater for more than 8 months and I loved to go in and watch it!!
At 13:20 you can still see the remains of the Red Painted over Roof Sign on the wall :-)
I only noticed when you pointed it out, thank you.

@@MrMarko4 yes that's what they mean
Amazing video! god does it bring back nostalgia. Back when they were filming the first bttf movie circa '84 I lived across the street from the mcfly house. I was only 6 at the time but I vividly remember seeing Michael j fox and a few other actors acting out their parts. My parents told me they were filming a movie, they were just as fascinated as I was and sadly I was too young to know who was who and what was going on. Me and my parents went outside and we met some of the film crew and they told us what was going on. I remember something that caught my attention, it was these classic 80s sneakers with the red nike swoosh logo on imprinted onto them which some man was wearing, it turned out to be Michael j fox! he was a really nice guy and we had only a small amount of time to chit chat with him as they had deadlines to meet. I was pretty quiet and let my parents do the talking but he patted my head lol, later on I asked my parents if they could buy me those nike sneakers with the red swoosh which he was wearing. I got them for my birthday and boy was I a happy kid! this long lost story is one I will cheerish forever.
This is amazing story. Is there a chance that your parents made some photos during that period? (I'm aware that it was pre-digital era but still, there were cameras)
Braden Bennett amazing story, still remember by you. Nice
Braden Bennett I can tell you made that entire story up. Pathetic.
Braden Bennett That is so awesome, what an experience!

2020 thanks for the memory. Well done.
That is BY FAR the BEST filming location hunting I've ever seen! Well done
brilliant video. the thing I can't believe is how little everything has changed over the years
i was thinking the same, there's barely a difference.
paul mcgettigan I'm sure that after seeing how iconic this movie turned out to be, the last thing one wants is change, so they tried leaving everything as original as the movie 🎥, and boy I'm glad they did. This is awesome !
What's funny is that they portrayed 2015 as this weird futuristic place when in fact visually things really haven't changed all that much since 1985.
mrcydonia
Yep, people in the past always thought, and will always think, that the future is going to be drastically changed by the technology, when in fact, it's not going to...
Well, except the clock tower. I was in Burbank at the time when it burned to the ground, sadly. That court square was used in other famous movies such as To Kill A Mocking Bird.
This video was a thrill to watch, as a 100 time watcher of each movie, it never gets old to me, your wife was a real trooper through the video and your son was awesome, I love the way he took the stairs!
What an incredible collection of shot by shot locations. Absolutely brilliant work, superb!! This man deserves a medal!
This is maybe the greatest tribute a fan ever made for his/hers heroes I ever seen: CONGRATULATIONS BUD, GREAT HOB!Marco, Italy
3:00 Unbelivable. Imagine you life in the House from Marty McFly. Wooow!
The property value would skyrocket!
that was the first thing I thought when I saw that part of the vid.
Karl S. Great Scott!
just all you need, the black 4x4 pick-up.. and you done. :D
I went there last month and the home owner is really pi**ed because of the frequent visitors.
Every shot of your wife, she had a "Are we done? Can we go home now?" expression. Ha ha!

OMG, I just have to see your car one day, please let me know when your next in the Lancashire area or at any shows.
Phil, Emma and Ben Sure thing! Give me a call any time, you can make a small feature for your channel if you want :-)
That sounds great! We would love to do a feature for our channel at some point this year! Thanks, we will be in touch. :)
Wow.. amazing!! You really did this perfectly, matching up the locations. I’m sure your son will cherish this memory for the rest of his life.
„Epic“ is still underrated for this video! Great work!!!
As 2015 is a big year for Back To The Future, I have made an edit of all the filming locations we visited on our California road trip in one video.
Please share it, +1 and tag any of your family & friends that would like to see it or are fans of the film. Hope you enjoy and as always, thanks for watching!
Loved this! Are you guys going to get married on 21st October this year by any chance? Just wandering as my fiancée (got engaged in front of Cinderella's castle in October :-D ) and I are considering this for a date, as we too are massive fans :)
Phil, Emma and Ben thanks for this video. I love karate kid I pretty much know where everything was filmed, but for life of me I don't know where, or what building the all valley karate championship was took place..
Phil, Emma and Ben Thank you for sharing, it was awesome to watch!
This was wonderful but saddening that you didn't offer up the locations or how you found them. I live nearby the closing shot locations for part 3, but have never been able to locate them precisely. I can get close and see the same general perspective for the power plant in the background, and I i think I know where the railroad tracks are, but not the specifics for either.
Phil, Emma and Ben Thanks guys, this was very entertaining!!
You did an awesome job with the editing. I've went to Mcfly residence only. Quite an experience. This was great to see. Thanks!
How it was?
Great idea for a vacation...love that you got your son hooked on Back To The Future. This really put a smile on my face. Thanks for posting it.
What an amazing video! So sweet of your wife and kid for coming along in the journey.
Thank you very much for sharing!! Beautiful memories 😊🙌🏼
it's hilarious that the burger King is in the same place
I auctually been to the burger king, well past it, its kinda funny that I kinda been past it like more than a hundred times,also, docs place isnt there last time i checked sorry bro D;
it was demolished and rebuilt, like a lot of fast food chains
I recently went to that Burger King before heading into WB Studios to shoot something. I had no idea that was it.
Nope, just remodeled slightly. It's still the same building. I've got a few like that around where I live. BK has been going around to all their older locations and remodeling the buildings with new siding, entryways, signage and interior fittings. McDonald's, though, has been tearing down their older buildings and building all new ones in their place.
yeah that burger king is the closest to my house. there are very few burger kings in the valley... there is another one which is closer but i never go to it because its in a mexican neighborhood. the one from BTTF is too, but i consider it to be safer. the only place to live in the valley aside from the far canyon reaches is a strip that runs east and west and is about 2 miles wide, up until oxnard, which i consider the borderline between the good valley and bad valley.
I feel like they should ve kept all the signs from the movie as it would make it a more realistic experience and the mall would get more attention, anyone else agree?
absolutely 100% 👍
QProJoeQ
Yeah right, they don't want the mall to get "more attention". They already get enough, and by that i mean they get tons of attention. There's idiots out there in the parking lot every night trying to recreate the scenes, making a YT video, or just checking out the location. So much in fact, that they had to hire several security guards to work the parking lot overnight.
So, yeah, enough attention.
I think the main issue is that they didn't expect it to be such a hit, and it was all just a "set". Of course they could go bag now and add all the signs but that's not the point. It would bring more attention tho. Other issues involve residents being angry about certain signage. There's a method to the madness of planning commissions in all cities.
Eth
definitely~!!... but the thing is.. who's gonna pay for all that relevance & maintenance costs.
that's what frustrates us..
This trilogy has a great place in my heart... In top 5 of all time!
You guys just made my day, this is the best video i have seen on youtube in a long long time, beautiful familly btw, thank you for sharing this!!!
Wow. Hard to believe 99% of the film set is still there.
Yep, where I live they constantly change everything. Hardly anything of my childhood from the 80s left.
Wow.
Logan Wheeler yeah the only thing left over from the 80's in my life are the boogers I wiped under my parents dining room table as a kid
Logan Wheeler Yeah. Very Antique lol
Phil, Emma and Ben, Thank You! I'm 43 now and you brought back great memories as a kid that I never knew were there. The music, excitement & memories. its Incredible to see these areas still exist, lots of triggers, it reminds me of my childhood when BTTF was very popular movie, and when life was much easier and simple. Thanks for the effort, nice work !

Mate, this is an incredible video. Absolutely well done for the filming, finding the locations and putting us in the places emotionally. Wish I could do what you and your family have done - that trilogy was a big part of my childhood. Trip of a lifetime. Just 1 request, if you ever edit, or do a similar video, could you do a split-screen of how the locations looks, side-by-side to the way they look now? Thumbs up on everything you did. Well done fella!
