New Rubber! Mercedes W124/C124 aerial grommet

It's time for new rubber. This time on Not A Proper Classic, I try to replace the perished aerial grommet with a new part. Fun, and some great camerawork, followed!

Hello. Is it possible to install the rubber without removing the antenna?

I don’t think it will be - as the rubber to a two piece. A bit to go over the top and then a bit to go around the hole.
Then again, if you can squeeze it through maybe. But it’s probably quicker to loosen off the aerial and attack it from inside and out.

​@@Beechams1042 Thank you for your answer. I will try to install it without removing it, but if I encounter difficulties, I have no choice and I will have to remove the antenna.
