I'm an almost 6' tall female and I absolutely commiserated with Peter when he said he sleeps diagonally. It's what I do - even on my own bed. I never would have thought of an extension for a bed. It's genius. The major flaw I see is that my bedframe has an attached headboard with shelves and a plugin - which means putting something against the wall can't happen and to put it at the foot of the bed, I'd kick it over before I even fell asleep.
Okay, I'm sorry for your height problem. I'm Dutch, and our beds are typically 2 meters long (6 feet 7-ish). I know it is not the cheapest option, but you could always order one from the i.g. tallest ppl country. I'm just a small Dutchy, just 174 cm (5.71-ish feet) ""tall"" I have other issues in this tall people's country, I''m small after all, shelves etc. are way too high for my size. But there are steps etc. to solve those issues for small ppl. Though in stores etc. I regularly have to ask for assistance, because a lot of items are just out of my reach ;)

Little bit surprised why no offer was made by Peter. It's quite simple...these 2 didn't know how to present or sell, which is fine. Like Peter said, hire someone that's a good salesman (and let him be tall). Peter has connections to hotel magnates. Send hte new employee with a 6 and 12'' version of the bed stretch to the big name hotels, sell them a few of each model. Before long they'd be in every single one of their hotels. Becuase theres less hotels then there are houses, hotels will buy maybe 2 or 3 of every or just buy the largest size which makes the market very small. Tall people will naturally buy a larger bed for their own home making this product useless. Leaving for the most part hotels likely being the leading demographic. I think peter understood that its a genius product but hes a businessman and when you think about the larger picture its not a hugely profitable business atleast not for someone like Peter Jones where he wants to invest in business that are going to make alot of money very fast.

It didn't actually match the height of the bed, and it wasn't extendable. Why wouldn't you make the height adjustable and why not make it fold out another few inches, like how some boat tables do? That would make the product much more universal!
I think that is a little over engineered before the concept is proven to be a viable business. But long term if there was a market, that would certainly be the way to go. Then you’d just have to have one sku.

It would constantly move n leave gaps between the bed and extender
A magnet strip that can be applied like tape should solve it
