    How the heck did Guy get that big dent on top of the hood of his tractor? AND.....how old is his Kubota? You should do a sit down coffee time to hear from Guy and the good old days. I'm sure he has some good stories.

    As the saying goes, teamwork makes the dream work.
    I like the pedal design better on our Grand L. I was surprised Kubota didn't use the Grand L pedal design on the LX line up since it is also a deluxe tractor in the Kubota world.

      It's all about maximizing seat time. One year I was eagerly awaiting the first "good" snow of the season, only to be crushed when I found my neighbor had cleared my driveway without checking with me first. I was pretty angry, but did not let him know that because I value our relationship. However this warrants a word of caution: Never do any "favors" for a neighbor which will rob him or her of seat time on their tractor unless you check with them first.

      @@evanstauffer4470 LMAO I had that happen to me a couple times and each time I was just waiting to try out my new toy. I remember I bought a Dodge 4x4 with plow and this truck was beautiful. It was called a power wagon. I was so excited knowing how bad it was snowing and all over the news it said we would get almost 3 feet of snow by morning, I had my truck in the garage so no one saw it. I was up all night tossing and turning thinking should I go play now or wait . I fell asleep and when I woke up I made my coffee and was getting more excited to try my new toy. I went out to see how much snow I had and that is when I saw someone already did my drive way. For a moment my heart sank but then I thought well I will just go help others that need my help. I did just that and did it all for free so I could have fun. Then a neighbor saw me at the store getting a coffee and said if I knew you have a plow truck I would not have bothered. I laughed and said so it was you. He said yeah I said no worries I just went out to help others . One hand washes the other I said.

    Good tips, GP. That's a great reason to start your PTO at the lowest speed possible. If that was revved up it could have done some damage or at least broken a shear pin. Have a great rest of the week.

    Drill a small hole in the bottom of the fan drum to let the water drain out when the snow melts. Also clean snow around the gearbox cause it will freeze and lock up the drive shaft.

    Good morning Gordon. The only snow left here is what I piled up. Been raining here the last few days. You and guy looked like the plow trucks on the hwy or freeways . It made me smile seeing you working together like that. I have an open cab tractor and have never had a problem with my peddle. Try spraying it with white lithium grease. Also put a little on a rag and wipe your door seals. When I drove school bus the emergency doors would freeze up overnight. The mechanic would wipe the seals with the white grease. Problem solved. Have a wonderful week. Tell Guy and Husky Bob hi

    Hello my friend..
    This year has had me guessing every storm..
    The last storm we got I didn’t dare to go off any pavement or I would be blowing mor dirt then snow… Prior to the storm it had been warm and it rained and you know the rest of the story.. hahahaha
    I usually do way more snow blowing off pavement then I do on just for accessibility to different parts of my land and for water run off… Oh well..
    That was really nice of Guy to come over and play with you..
    Hahahaha
    I have never had my blower freeze up .. YET… Now that I have said that out loud it is going to happen..
    As far as the trundle pedal yup.. My will stick and when I try to start it. It will not..
    I messed with the seat safety switch for a long time be for I touched the pedal by chance and it started… Lesson learned.. I went under and lubricant the mechanism and have not had any more issues yet.. hahahaha
    Thanks for sharing this adventure with us..
    And Guy is a great friend and neighbor… oh and Husky Bob as well . Hahahahaha
    Cheers…

      Morning Gus! Yes I do indeed. I think the grease gets gluey in the cold but am going to try some white lithium grease on the linkages ( Kevin suggested it above) and see how that works out. I had the same problem on the old B2601 open station too. Have a god week and say hi to Sally!

    Hi Gord.......Also I have had the peddle slightly frozen down just enough to cause the button switch on the underside to be stuck/frozen and it would not even engage to turn over. Have to crawl under and free up that switch and away you go. I actually had to have a service guy come out to find that one.

Got it looking good around there Gord, it was great that Guy showed up so you two could double time all the drives you folks assist with around there. It would be nice if you all were spared any icing over the driveways but my bet is on Mother Nature so keep your sand box thawed out. Stay safe and keep up the great videos. Fred.

    Hi GP! I’ve had some issues with the blower freezing also when I shut down, even just shut down for a short break after use. I found the blower would get warm up while in use, and when it’s shut down the ice will melt causing a small water puddle on the bottom of the blower drum and refreeze. If after you clean the snow off of your blower, tilt the blower forward a bit so any water will run out of the drum. Or you could drill a small hole in the bottom of the drum to allow it to drain. I haven’t tried to drill the hole yet, but tilting it seems to work just fine. Keep safe and warm down your way. Take Care, Kevin (KP) in Alaska! 👍🏻

    • @GPOutdoors
      @GPOutdoors  Рік тому +1

    Those fade outs with the snow hitting the camera were probably what poor Guy’s goggles were like! So you mentioned about the block heater but I don’t think you said how long you leave it plugged in for @ 0C (I assume C not F). Do you have a time that runs it for say 2 hours before you might wake or just leave it plugged in all night when temps are expected that low?
    Great video, I watches this as our 11” snow is just a memory, it was 63F today in NW Missouri. Have a great day.

      LOL! I wish Guy had a cab. I run it for different lengths depending on how cold ( celsius). I plug it in when I wake up. _ around 0 degrees, I leave it for about one hour and then longer up to a few hours as it gets really cold. Have a good one!

    Good morning. I have an LX3520 and have been considering this same front mount blower. It's quite expensive so I may not.....I have been reading about the k connect coupler issues in the forums. Have you had any issues with yours?

    • @GPOutdoors
      @GPOutdoors  3 місяці тому

      Hey good day! Honestly, not a single issue so far (knock on wood) except that since it was new, the right pin needs a little tap to get it in, when mounting it. This will be my 5th winter using it. However, I am pretty big on maintenance so I always grease and lubricate regularly, since I got it. I have never had the chute get plugged - not once. No issues with the 4 point connector or anything. But I think, if I were to buy again, I would probably get the residential version. This commercial one is certainly built like a tank and I am sure it will last a long time but my last one was a B2782 on my B2601 tractor, and it worked great too - never a problem, so I am happy I got a wider model this time so I can clear the driveway in 2 passes ( out and back) whereas the other one was not as wide and I always had to do a third pass to get all the corners and widen it. I hope that helps. Good luck!
