Happy Valentine's Day beautiful smart sexy girl!!! Your brain and your bravery are sexy as hell!!! Thank you for reminding girls it okay to love more than one colour!! Have a beautiful day filled with love!!
This is referred to as a spoken word poem, a slam poem is for contests. This is way to good to be your first, I love how it leads up to the problems we have in society regarding sexuality. I'm also attracted to both genders, relatable! Last school year, near the end, I started realizing the fact that I wasn't straight or gay. I knew about sexualities, so I decided to consider myself bisexual until further research. So many people didn't even know what it meant, this asshole dude I thought was my friend needed clarification that it wasn't the same as transsexual and kept claiming I would never have sex with a guy and have a kid of my own someday. He kept saying homophobic things, and when I'd tell him, he'd deny it and say even more homophobic things. I don't even think he knew it. I decided not to bring it up anymore. He isn't in my school this year. Earlier today in my last class, a boy who heard I was bisexual last year decided to ask whether it was true. I claimed it was a joke. My family is Christian and low-key homophobic, so I let them think I'm one of them, heterosexual. Your poem is very passionate and too true about modern society. Apparently everyone's straight until told otherwise. Sexuality is way more complicated than people realize, and we need to be educated on these types of things.
+Armilla Posadas What you said is very true I feel that I might be bisexual, but I'm not sure. I haven't said the word out loud to anyone, but i have told some siblings and friends that I've had feelings for certain males or females. I really don't know if I am bi and I don't think my mom would take it well I keep telling myself if I did come out I would wait until I stopped living with my mother. That way if she wanted me out of her life I wouldn't have to see her or depend on her every day, but I still can't think about how I would tell her. She is also a Christian and low key homophobic so i don't know how well she would take it. I feel like these feelings are just crushes and I haven't ever been in a relationship so I don't know if I am bi or not. I think I might be.
66Raisbel1 Sexuality is very confusing. Even as a kid, I would find myself really wanting to talk to pretty girls because I found them attractive. I brushed it all off as me just wanting to be nice, but over the years, that attraction to females as well as males has come back.
Hey! I love this video! I am just starting out like you and just made my first poem, I would love if you check it out! I will be showcasing videos that people send me (with full credit of course) so please check it out!
your voice sounds like Miley Cyrus. I loved this poem by the way, even if I'm not bi. The part about the way society wants us to only choose one thing- one major, on job, one dream, really stuck with me.
You couldn't see it, but you just got yourself a standing ovation. The brilliance of this video is that it proves that you shouldn't have been forced to choose between writing and acting, as this was beautifully written and passionately performed. You are both an excellent writer and an excellent performer.
Omg I love this so much, you have so much talent! I can relate 100% to this, I've been told a lots of times that I can only be straight/gay/like only boys/girls and after so much negativity, is good to hear a positive word about this. You look like a very lovely person and thanks for writing this, maybe I can finally come out to my parents with this video. Hope you keep writing and that you're having a nice day! Ps: Can I add you on snapchat?
I loved this. I enjoyed every moment from you sharing the fact that you had to tape your phone to your comp to you super excited that you nailed that in one take.... Keep sharing videos. Or writing, or acting. You have a beautiful presence that other should see.
Wow, that was a good poem. I am also proud of you for finishing in one take. If you wrote this for my class I would definitely give you an A. You have talent.
You put it into words I never could, so thank you so much for that. I recently came out to my mum as bisexual, but she really doesn't understand how I can be attracted to two genders, 'it's probably just a phase, you're only 16.' I'll most likely apply what I listened to here to our next conversation, or just send her this video. Thank you so very much.
This speaks to me so much!!! The way you read was magnificent, you had put so much feeling into it. When people are asked there sexuality, I think when Bi's (and pans) answer they get both sarcastic and psychotic replies like "Oh ..you haven't decided yet.". But as Blue and Green are your very colors if you were to just pick one you would feel as if you cutting off a piece of you, a piece of your soulful identity. The same goes with picking one gender to love. Love is Love and if you say that, than my god mean it!!! Amazing Poem!!!
I loved this and I'm so glad that you included pansexual. My favorite color is all the shades of blue, I can't decide which and I think that says something.
you took me on a story in the beginning, I was conceived you were just telling me a story. like the ones you read in play scripts, but then when you got into being 12 and in 6th grade I could really tell how much passion was actually behind this poem. It was slam poems like these that originally got me into writing poetry and slam poetry. the fact this is your first slam piece blows my mind. you've earned a new sub:-))
Knowing that you wrote this poem at 1 in the morning just adds to the fact how passionate you are about your writing. I thought that your poem was amazing and it brought some points that I never even considered to realize about how things are looked upon today. I'd also like to mention that I definitely believe that one can choose to be in two different careers. Like how you want to be an actress and a writer, you could write the script of any sorry you can think of and perform in it as well.
This poem really hit home. I've known i've been Biromantic for nearly a year. It was for an actress that I would never meet and I didn't worry. I didn't worry until I developed strong romantic feelings for my best friend. She's dated a girl before, and even though she says only boys from now I know she's bi in one way or another. It really sucks. I can't lose her. She's my only friend. Gets me better than anyone and I'm a hard person to get, but we're basically the same person.
This poem was so good! I mean, I've always wanted to hear from someone else what I had in my mind and you just said everything I could possibly think. I'm bisexual and as you said, I don't know what am I supposed to do if one year I'm dating with a girl and everyone thinks I'm "normal" and the next year I start a relationship with a man and everybody assumes that I'm gay, without caring what I actually am. Anyway I just wanted to say I LOVED your poem!
I cried watching this. I am 13 years old it at school the teachers read books on a topic and expect us to write. Mostly these books are fairytales. My teacher read the story Cinderella, and had us write an essay on if it was modernize what it would be like. I was having a very hard time assuming what it would be like because I hate inferences and using things might cover. The Gayview we had to turn it in, I sat in the back of the room while others was trying to read there's out loud. And mostly was just a guy and a girl, it made me think. Why couldn't pick than two girls or two guys? So after that day at class I asked the teacher if I have extra time to write because I finally have come up with an idea. He said as long as I turned in the next day I had enough time to make it up for half of the credit. So I went home and I started writing up a storm for about two hours. I finished my hand was hurting. I got a C- on the paper n
Despite what the C- says, I'm so happy that you had the bravery to put yourself out there. To try and put out something new. My English teacher constantly reminds us that an idea is the most powerful thing on Earth and if you are not using your imagination, you're doing it wrong, and I strongly stand by these ideas. I'm not sure if you got a C- because of your writing style or your idea, but if its the latter, he needs to understand that ideas should be encouraged and that his job is to help execute these ideas properly. I hope you know that even if your idea wasn't appreciated by him, it was appreciated by so many others. -sincerely, a fellow 13 year old
There’s a lesbian spin-off to the story of Cinderella but it’s not about them being gay they just happen to be. It’s called “Ash” you should read it, it’s really good.
Yep, I get this big time, thank you so much for sharing :) As a Brazilian, that grew up in Scotland, who loved everything and everyone and could never and still can't decided on any one thing... Thank you. As a polyamorous, bisexual who's getting married this year, As a singer, writer, actress, life coach, yoga teacher, psychologist... Thank you xoxox
I found this in middle school when I was first starting to come to terms with my sexuality. I’m now in college and it’s crazy to think of the way this and a handful of other poems can have such positive//emotional affect years later❤️
Omg this is so great! Although I'm not bisexual, I can completely relate to the rest. I'm 14 and torn about what I want to do when I'm older because society tells me I can only be one thing. You have a great voice for speaking/acting. Continue to do what you love!
hey. i watched this two years ago when i was just going into sixth grade ( i’m in eighth now ) and i’ve finally come back. i want you to know how much this has helped me throughout my middle school years. god, i was so scared to be myself. i’ve had the biggest crush on my best friend for years now and i’ve denied that shit because i’m sTrAight, but recently i’ve come out to my sister and friends. thank you :)
LOVED THIS! :) just for the record: the style is called "spoken word" or "a spoken work poem." a slam is an actual competition where poets or teams are judged. slams suck, in other words. ;) you have a gift for story telling. i'd love to see more. you popped up in my feed because i'm a big lover of poetry. i don't know what else you post about, but i think i'll subscribe just to see if you'll get down like this again.
okay, Dustin Hope. clearly we're gonna have to agree to disagree. i wasn't looking for an argument. just trying to bring clarity to a common misconception. but whatever. i have no investment in what you wish to hold as true.
I was just trying to bring clarity to the fact that you are not the Grand Arbiter of poetry, and if she wants to call it slam poetry, then she can and should.
Dustin Hope you're acting like i called her a bad person or disrespected her somehow. i'm not the one with the chip on my shoulder here. YOU seem to be the Grand Arbiter if there is one in this conversation.
hey calm down. Didn't you just say ''we're gonna have to agree to disagree''? Well, judging by the way you said ''in what you wish to hold as true''... I think this is a contradiction...
i just start crying because all my life i've felt that way, and at some point it feels good to know i'm not the only one who have gone trough this. Thank you so so much for such beautiful poem
I loved this so much. Every word I was hanging on and loving the description and how clearly I could imagine it, I loved how you structured it in years to show how your entire life has been like this, and the same message every time of it being wrong, but baby girl you should never let anyone tell you that ANYTHING you want to do is wrong, if it’s as harmless as writing and acting, or liking two colours. I want to be a writer and a makeup artist. Two of my greatest passions! Two seemingly non compatible things. But I don’t see why that should stop me. The only thing getting in your way is yourself. If anyone doubts you, just pity them because they don’t understand how passionate you are, because when you’re this passionate nothing will get in your way. Remember I love you! And thank you so much for this.
Hey, Stud indeed, I do have tumblr! I do more fandom stuff there and I'm working on setting up a website for my original stuff recently but it's here: rnishacollins.co.vu
I love this poem. I can relate to a lot of what you have to say. Recently I made a video of a poem that I wrote and I normally use different people to read and I actually chose a female to read the poem. The main reason I decided to use a female voice was the exact reason you mentioned. I had been programmed to think that way. I love the way the poem turned out and it is great but I still feel like I have somehow not been authentic with my creation. Do you know what I mean?
CRIES THIS WAS SO GREAT, GOOD JOB *saves and bookmarks to like everything* OMG OMG DO YOU HAVE TUMBLR OR KIK OR SNAPCHAT OR ANYTHING BTW?? I am gonna share this video a lot 💕💕💕👍
winter0880 haha yes I do! my tumblr is rnishacollins.co.vu and my snapchat is alyssacassese :) Also, my professional twitter (lmao not really) is @AlyssaCassese. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and future shares! :)

okay that was deep and i loved it but what i loved more was that little burst of excitement about doing it in one take. that was the cutest thing in the world
Okay this video literally made me cry like frfr and I'm not even a crybaby😩 I'm so happy I stumbled upon this video. I was watching poetry and seen my favorite colors are green and blue and I was like hey that's me☺️we have the same favorite colors😂 it wasn't until later that I realized the title had bisexual in it and I was like hey I'm bisexual too and this video only got more relatable when I heard some of the stories you told ❤️I've saved this to my favorite poetry videos and just wanted to say thank you for sharing this 💕
From a creative writing major, poetry is a form of language typically written in stanzas and rich in poetic elements such as rhyme, repetition, metaphors, similes, layered meanings, etc. I agree her poem isn't slam it's just a story but it's cool for her first time
This almost sounds more like an moth than a slam because it is more story driven than beat driven. It's really cool, it sounds like a combo of moth and slam.
Oh my gosh. I'm a 12 year old girl who is bisexual. I love your voice. Tbh is kinda sounds like The Gabby Show. You probably sound AND look different now but eh.
This is the most beautiful thing I heard in a long time. It just feels so freaking brutal and true. Thank you so much for this. I feel it to my core, each word, each line, each sentiment. ❤️
This was incredible, and spot-on! Teal Swan calls this, "The emotional dark ages", but we are waking up, little bits at a time. Keep writing, keep acting, keep being you, no matter who that may be now, or who you'll evolve into in the future. My favorite colors are blue and green as well. :)
Be proud of who you are because you’ll just have so much fun. Knowing who you are and accepting it are also very different things, and you should try your hardest to do both, no matter what parents or friends or random douches say, because fuck them, they don’t understand
"The world is always seen in black and white and never shades of gray but my favorite color has always been blue and green"
i lost it at that line oh my gosh! its so powerfu

hey. i watched this two years ago when i was just going into sixth grade ( i’m in eighth now ) and i’ve finally come back. i want you to know how much this has helped me throughout my middle school years. god, i was so scared to be myself. i’ve had the biggest crush on my best friend for years now and i’ve denied that shit because i’m sTrAight, but recently i’ve come out to my sister and friends. thank you :)
I really relate to this as a pansexual 14 year old girl and I love it
I loved how she tied everything together at the end
So powerful! And the ending was great!
The youtube algorithm finally got a 5 year old video reccomendation correct. 10/10
Please make more content! I’d love to watch it
I've never seen or even heard about slam poems... I do this all the time inside my head, I'm going to start to write them down. :D
I found your poem on genius and I'm really grateful for it, i love it girl
LOVED THIS! :)
just for the record: the style is called "spoken word" or "a spoken work poem." a slam is an actual competition where poets or teams are judged. slams suck, in other words. ;)
you have a gift for story telling. i'd love to see more. you popped up in my feed because i'm a big lover of poetry. i don't know what else you post about, but i think i'll subscribe just to see if you'll get down like this again.
TheWanderer The style is also called slam poetry, and is usually, but not always, done at a poetry slam.
okay, Dustin Hope. clearly we're gonna have to agree to disagree. i wasn't looking for an argument. just trying to bring clarity to a common misconception. but whatever. i have no investment in what you wish to hold as true.
Good Piece!
**casually looking behind you at the supernatural posters**
But seriously, amazing poem. Great job!
So inspirational...
I think this deserves MUCH more credit and it's so good! I love your stuff! :3
Keep it up!
And thank you so much for this.
loved it :D
tell me, do you have tumblr?
Hey, Stud indeed, I do have tumblr! I do more fandom stuff there and I'm working on setting up a website for my original stuff recently but it's here: rnishacollins.co.vu
Thanks for existing and making this poem, then uploading it on UA-cam and making my day a little less depressing
I love how you couldn't pick blue or green as a kid but I can tell from your walls you've chosen BOTH xD amazing poem, from one writer to another.
CRIES THIS WAS SO GREAT, GOOD JOB *saves and bookmarks to like everything*
OMG OMG DO YOU HAVE TUMBLR OR KIK OR SNAPCHAT OR ANYTHING BTW?? I am gonna share this video a lot 💕💕💕👍
winter0880 haha yes I do! my tumblr is rnishacollins.co.vu and my snapchat is alyssacassese :) Also, my professional twitter (lmao not really) is @AlyssaCassese. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and future shares! :)
IF YOU WANNA BE A WRITER AND AN ACTRESS YOU BE A WRITER AND AN ACTRESS!! CUZ YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL AND YOU WROTE ONE OF THE BEST POEMS I'VE EVER HEARD!!!
oh my god this was perfect thank you.
How excited you got when you finished in one take was the most adorable thing ever! I really liked your poem, and I loved your smile/laugh!
Awesome poem!! I might steal your idea of tapping my phone to my computer 😂

aNd I OoP.
But this is Seriously One of the best Slam Poems Ever.Great Job!!!!
You have a beautiful voice ..
okay that was deep and i loved it but what i loved more was that little burst of excitement about doing it in one take. that was the cutest thing in the world
I write slam poems all the time. I LOVE THEM!!! I'm 13. I record mine and it takes 4 ever to say it all right.
this was amazing and I love it and I just want to say well done because writing poems is really hard
I relate deeply to this. I'm pansexual, so this is really nice. It's just.. really nice.
Boi you have to get recognized
edit: i remember watching this a year ago and it still hits home and it’s somehow nostalgic to watch this
I...
Firstly this is amazing secondly you are extremely cute hi?
aw you were so happy at the end that was so cute
Being an actress and writer is my dream
Same 😁
"I have my phone taped to my screen" oml the commitment
I love this because I'm bisexual and it explains it completely
Okay this video literally made me cry like frfr and I'm not even a crybaby😩 I'm so happy I stumbled upon this video. I was watching poetry and seen my favorite colors are green and blue and I was like hey that's me☺️we have the same favorite colors😂 it wasn't until later that I realized the title had bisexual in it and I was like hey I'm bisexual too and this video only got more relatable when I heard some of the stories you told ❤️I've saved this to my favorite poetry videos and just wanted to say thank you for sharing this 💕
I'm not hating but just wondering: what makes a poem a poem? Because to me, this is a great video but it just sounds like a story.
If it's written in stanzas
Wonky paragraphs
It isn't a slam poem
From a creative writing major, poetry is a form of language typically written in stanzas and rich in poetic elements such as rhyme, repetition, metaphors, similes, layered meanings, etc. I agree her poem isn't slam it's just a story but it's cool for her first time
+
This almost sounds more like an moth than a slam because it is more story driven than beat driven. It's really cool, it sounds like a combo of moth and slam.
Oh my gosh. I'm a 12 year old girl who is bisexual. I love your voice. Tbh is kinda sounds like The Gabby Show. You probably sound AND look different now but eh.
This is beautiful, I'm glad I stumbled across it. I also notice supernatural in the background and i think i actually love you now.
yasssssssss
so this isn't about the original pokemon games?
im crying
This is the most beautiful thing I heard in a long time. It just feels so freaking brutal and true. Thank you so much for this. I feel it to my core, each word, each line, each sentiment. ❤️
HEY PEOPLE I'M BISEXUAL just wanted you all to know ok bye
I've been rewatching this and crying and laughing and just. Wow.
Aw I read blue and green and I thought it was about Louis and Harry
This was incredible, and spot-on! Teal Swan calls this, "The emotional dark ages", but we are waking up, little bits at a time. Keep writing, keep acting, keep being you, no matter who that may be now, or who you'll evolve into in the future. My favorite colors are blue and green as well. :)
I dont know my sexuality
simplyme That’s ok!
That’s ok
You don't need to feel like you have to choose... You can feel in the moment.
You did absolutely amazing for not having done this before! Good job!
I’m proud to be pansexual
God I’ve never said that
Thank you
Congratulations on being proud of who you are it must be the best feeling
Life’s too short not to love yourself and accept everyone for who they are
jubs :P that’s an amazing outlook I used to be proud of being bi and stuff but I’m not that proud anymore
Be proud of who you are because you’ll just have so much fun. Knowing who you are and accepting it are also very different things, and you should try your hardest to do both, no matter what parents or friends or random douches say, because fuck them, they don’t understand
jubs :P that’s honestly so helpful
You are so beautiful and your energy is contagious. Thank you for this video. I needed someone on my side today and I'm grateful it was you!
This is so cute❤️
The poem was about twice as long as any slam poem I've heard, but I really liked it. It was something that really hit home fro me. Great job!
Your voice reminds me of Emma Stone (:
I love to see the passion you seem for this and how excited you got when you finished it its nice seeing someone so passionate for writing :D
