- Here we have a pre-owned 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid SEL. This C-Max Hybrid comes in ruby red metallic on medium light stone leather interior. The powertrain consists of a 2.0 liter naturally aspirated 4 cylinder hybrid engine mated to a CVT.
Standard features of this C-Max SEL include Bluetooth audio, a power driver’s seat and heated front seats. Additional features include an aftermarket rear entertainment system, ambient lighting, and fog lights.

Just got one of these. They do not come with a spare which almost killed the deal for me but the asking price was very reasonable along with great gas mileage.
Damn your review is on point! I'm deciding on a 2018 ATS Caddy or a 2017 C-MAX energi, going to do Uber on it, any suggestions? Needs to be 7 years or never 4 doors
C-Max will be more efficient and have more room. ATS back seat almost non-existent so I would get it for Uber. CTS/CT5 only Uber option for Cadillac cars imo
Not surprised that it performs well tbh, it’s a European car transformed to fit the standards in the US in terms of habitability and performance.
188hp might not seem like a lot, but as I said it’s a European MPV so it’s plenty for what it is !
Use B for engine braking .. if you are going down a steep hill the C-MAX will put more juice in battery and save the brake.
That's a nice tester you had. Like the color. I think I'd have to go with cloth as they're cushier and better for longer rides. I have the 2013 cmax and the fusion hybrid. Same year on both. The fusion is the se model and my God is that car comfortable. Better gas mileage than the cmax and the exhaust sounds way better. I have no idea why 😂 if you get the cmax, get it wirh the sony premium sound system. Thats what i have and the subwoofer is so good that when that bass comes in the sound waves are pulsating against your back and sides it's an experience lol!
Love the Sony system they used to have in these.

Yes, remote start was available on the C-Max, but not as part of any equipment package -- some SEs have it, some SELs don't. You have to look at the individual car to see if it has remote start.
You know what's crazy? I have a much newer Ford that doesn't have all-window one-touch up/down. Pretty much the same buttons throughout as well, but the seats are all manual. It's kind of embarrassing. I bet this car has the express-down feature from the key-fob as well, which mine does not. My old Fusion had express-down. I paid almost $40k for my newer turd bucket and it's easily the biggest mistake I've made in a while.
I have 130k mi on my 2013 and no issues, just routine maintenance. Ford made a mistake by saying the car can get 60MPG .. it can, on a really nice day with just the right driving conditions. It's more typical to get 40MPG which is still very good for a crossover. It's competitor was the Prius V, which has absolutely no power. The C-MAX isn't a sportscar but the torque IS fun. You are missing the panoramic roof, I love that feature on mine.
I hear that the C-Max is the "sports car" of the hybrids though. I also heard the same thing about the Toyota Camry Hybrid of the early 2010s (actually a bit faster than the C-Max from what I've researched but the visibility is a winner in my book with the C-Max and I tend to prefer hatchbacks anyway).
I've had my C-Max Energi for 8 years. I want to go full EV but then I'd have to give up my C-Max and I'd hate to do that lol
how many miles is on your Cmax?
My wife has one, and we love it but is having transmission issues 😢
Is it the CVT?
Was it regularly maintained? I saw a CMax with half a million miles on the original transmission
they are fast and room and im 6’2
I'm 6' and I have plenty of room and knee room, and yes they have good speed for the highway, I can get up to 75mph before I leave the ramp without trying.
We have a c-max love it but doesn’t go in the snow.
If it's on the standard Michelin Energy Saver A/S tires, try switching to the Michelin CrossClimate (three-peak snow-rated tire). You'll lose a bit of range, but winter performance should improve significantly.
