- Hey folks, here's my latest vid featuring the unboxing of my newest lens, the 150-600mm contemporary lens by Sigma. This lens comes bundled with the 1.4 tele converter. For the money, I think this lens is a pretty good deal so if you're looking for zoomage on a budget, this lens is hard to beat. I'll do a full review, but for now check out this vid and let me know your thoughts.

What a natural unboxing. I love that. It's like sitting with a photography friend in the same room, who is excited to pack out his new toy and checks it out with you together. Keep this stuff up, very natural! I am subscribed!
Really enjoyed the review, thank-you!
Nice unboxing pal... No tech stuff just a proper unboxing and review... Love the vinyl collection too.. I've around 200 albums meself
Great video man. Very well presented! I've had this lens for about a week now and I'm really happy with the results! If you don't know by now you can actually use the lens in a push/ pull fashion without using the zoom ring. The lens was designed to work both ways which is awesome :)
thanks a lot, I tried that. Turning it still seems easier though?
I’ve just bought the same lens, mainly for aviation photography. Is it worth getting the extender, does it add much and would you say the image quality suffers from using it? Great video by the way.
Nice video. The Sigma 2X TC2001 teleconverter is compatible with the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 but DOESN'T PERMIT AUTOFOCUS. Only manual focus. However the Sigma 2X TC2001 teleconverter can be used with other Sigma lenses and with them permits autofocus.
With the TC2001 the maximum f/6.3 aperture at 600mm becomes two stop narrower f/12.6. The f/12.6 isn't bad with daylight but with poor lighting or very fast shutter speeds demands very high ISO.
Good one Hugh! Do you have images you clicked with this 150-600 C + 1401 Teleconverter combination? Please share links if you have them posted somewhere.
do you have any photos taken with the converter on at 600mm (840mm)
For those of you who purchased this lens (non- kit) in Canada, don't be worried about the teleconverter...it does not come with the lens. The box should specify the word - "KIT" in order for the teleconverter to be included.
Don’t know if I missed part of video where photo taken with converter was shown...
Can you test the 1.4x Sigma teleconverter with the S1 with MC-21 to a crop lens like Sigma 18-35 or Sigma 50-100? Maybe sigma 18-35 not possible of close element glass on the mount but if Sigma 50-100 autofocus and compability works this will be great and not spent money to an 70-200 f/2.8 Full Frame glass...
think you will also need usb dock to cjhange settings if you wanted to also it may need update i have one for nikon it did i have other sigma lenses and they needed just ask about usb
thanks, I am considering one of those, I should have got one a long time ago.
I shoot free hand...how do you take off the tripod collar or foot??
The rubber ring replaces the tripod mount if you don’t want it on
Hey Mate, nice video. I'm wondering if this converter will work with my sigmas 18-35 and 50-100 canon mount? Thanks !
Yeah, it will. It'll magnify things. You'll probably be able to use both lenses on full frame once you zoom a bit.
Thanks!I'm using them on my Fuji cameras with the Fringer ii adapter and my Ursa g2 On the official website only few lenses are compatible, not sure why they don't mention it. Cheers
Is this lens capatible with 1300d?
I have the same exact setup with 90D but when i connect teleconverter(1401) 1.4 its dark. Without teleconverter lense works just fine. Any idea what i am doing wrong here? Thanks
You should probably ditch the TC. Especially when using it on a crop body like the 90d. It's only gonna slow you down, literally. Just shoot with the lens alone. Those TC's are best suited to wide aperture primes like a 300mm f 2.8 or something.
sir please help me, i have a Canon 80D Body and a Sigma 150mm-600mm Sports type New Version. and then i have the tele Converter APO 2X DG Sigma the old model , is it compatible with my lens Sports type New version?
Jeffrey Arances I dunno. Did you try It? My advice would be to not use a teleconverter initially. They can darken the image and make focusing more difficult
yes sir i used it , its hard for me to focus the subject, my friend tell me because the tele converter that i bought is the old one , the sigma APO Tele Converter 2X DG AF which is the old one model, is it compatible if i use the new version of Tele converter sir? the TC 2001 ? please advise me sir thanks
i hope i get one soon
no lens testing? thats a shame
Lol like your style
You don't need to turn that lens to zoom, just do a push pull, way faster and easier ;)
But it puts a bit more pressure on the mount. Mine needs a little more force towards the last few mm.
Always put the converter on the lens BEFORE the camera body !!!
Really, why?
@@HuFilms The electronics can take damage, also image stabilisation off before turning on camera, then chose mode 1 or 2, both things is writen in the manuals
The telecom writer did not come in that box
ZOOOOOMAGE
It’s doesn’t come with the 1.4
that little ring is for using aps/c cameras..extends the hood
it's a replacement for the tripod mount when thats not being used.
Hate the old technique of camera angle from the side facing someone talking straight
This converter is useless at all, especially on APS-C cameras. It is better to use the lens at maximum 500mm and get 700mm , with this option the quality will be slightly better
Hey Bro go outside and show some raw pics I want to see how it's perform
make a video
Watch my 'street photography at 600' video
@@HuFilms sorry bro i couldn't find that video can please share me link
Think about 100 people unboxing the gear and not showing a single picture taken.
Convertor waste of time.
Yes, I agree. Slows focus and darkens image. Useless for bird photography.
Useless video. Really needed to see the zoom capacity and photo quality...
