Great review, better opening. I was intrigued about the Sigma but it's way to heavy for me. Looks like a great lens though. I have the 100-400 with the 1.4x, but I really don't use the 1.4 a lot and the times I've used it I've not been happy with sharpness.

Might as well get this 1 bro. Having those extra 200 mm will help. Best to have and not need them to need and not have. I bought a 70 to 300. Not knowing this lens existed. I would've bought this 1 at first and saved money.
I bought this lens a couple of months after release. At the time I had the AIII but upgraded to the A7IV last summer. Brought it to Thailand twice last year and I much prefer it over the Sony 200-600 because of the shorter length when retracted, as well as the higher magnification ratio and shorter minimum focusing distance.
how it perform with a7iii ? Iam thinking of buying this lens
I had a tough time picking between this and 200-600, I used both and while the Sony focused better I honestly preferred the image out of the sigma, plus I could hold the sigma much steadier at 600mm in video than on the Sony.

Sony 100-400 with 1.4x TC is much smaller and 560 mm f8 is not far from 600 mm f6.3.
For sure but there's a small $1750USD difference between the two setups.
