I lost my wife three months ago by accident. Been through 17 years of marriage, we led a life together. But she's gone eternally. For these three months, I did so many things to do automatically, as it is, taking care of 14 years old of our daughter. Sometimes I shed tears when something happened around me that remember her existence and emptiness of her. Then three months have passed, I didn't think that I cry so much when I hear this song. Just like burst into tears. Daryl's voice, lyrics, all of his performances of this song made me cry. T-Bone Wok was his long-time guitarist who died suddenly and without warning at a relatively young age. They were only a day or two into recording a new album of music and he died in the evening after they concluded the day. Took Hall and his band by surprise. He always wore a hat of some sort and sat on the right of Hall for his internet jams.

Holy crap,, this was a hit when i was a kid by "Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes" featuring Teddy Pendergrass......WOW! Daryl you did this song justice my man. I'm blown away. I knew you had soul but to pull this song off is not easy...lol it takes a tremendous amount a soulful flavor and color... Beautiful job man! Loving it!
