No one in England is stopping Manchester City until there's a huge mentality shift at the rest of the clubs. People need to realize not winning the league or any trophies is supposed to be considered failure and "top4" is not meant to be an achievement it's meant to be an obligation. The way to catch up is for clubs to start demanding success and raising the standards as apposed to "well if we get top4, we can qualify for the UCL and earn big money to attract the "good players" to sign" only to get top4 again to do the same thing over and over and over and over again and before you know it, the last league title was over a decade ago.

This guy has got to be one of my favourite non-city UA-camrs, he just says it straight and bats away all the bitterness from his supporters and others. His point about Manchester City not been found guilty of anything is a straight fact that is inexplicably ignored by other rival fans. His line about his forehead been one third of its current size when Arsenal last won the league was funny.

As a city fan i don't understand the bitterness towards us as fans, we haven't done anything apart from support the club we love. There isn't an actual fan of any club that wouldn't love to be in our situation, look at united fans begging to be taken over by Saudis now, Liverpool fans hoping to be taken over by qataris earlier in the season. I deserve to enjoy this without guilt for everytime i went to watch us as a kid producing shite football, getting relegated, sitting at night wishing my dad hadn't been a city fan so i didn't get the piss ripped out of me at school. Any person that would want to take my joy in this moment is simply a bad person.

I know my beloved club won the lottery without buying a ticket, but look at the professionalism of the organisation. We didn't act as we were expected to act as a child in a sweet shop, no Yankee Dollar scattergun, no Russian gangster bling, we have built from the roots up, elite processes, avoidance of short term gratification whilst still winning and keeping the standards high. We are witnessing jealousy, deflection, narrative nonsense. Respect .
I agree that the City story isn't a fairytale but I think you could say the same thing about United in the 90s. Man Utd executives, along with the other big clubs and Sky, pushed through the Premier League in 1992 to make sure that the 'big clubs' hoovered up all the money. It was a dodgy bit of financial manipulation that I'd argue had more of a negative effect upon football than City's manipulation. Once the PL began, Man U then benefitted from being the first in the door and winning the first title. They then were rewarded the riches, way more than anyone else had. The financial inequalities between the top and everyone else dwarfed that from the 80s. So they were able to buy all the best players from around the league and dominate. This 'football heritage/history' that Man Utd fans can tout about continuously, in a way of belittling current city success, borne from bitterness and confused righteousness, is actually just financial manipulation from the early 90s.

So refreshing to hear a rival channel telling it like it is 👍🏻 - City have been very fortunate to have such intelligent and dedicated owners, who set out to recruit the best in every area throughout the club, not necessarily by always paying top dollar, just by meticulous scouting for the right people and getting the deals done.
I was at Maine Road once (2001?) being 0-4 down to Arsenal and a City fan behind me applauding Arsenal and saying ‘come on, this is what we have to achieve - appreciate the quality you are watching!’

Your appraisal of Man City is spot on … They are a team that finds ways to win and have a Plan A, B, C, D & E.
Okay, so they have Owners who are prepared to invest heavily in the football club (but people are inclined to forget that they have also invested in their local community as well). As you say, fans should congratulate Man City and recognise what can be achieved when an Owner, Sporting Director, Manager (and back room staff), Academy, Players and Fans all work together. You could make a strong case that all those component parts are the best in World Football.

This is the first time I have heard any sense from a supporter of an opposing team and it is refreshing. But some Arsenal supporters and United supporters will hate facing the truth.
I've been a City supporter since 1967 and we enjoyed a bit of success back then aswell. Now we are enjoying the success which Sheik Mansour has funded. He has got a fantastic chairman in Kaldoon and he has been wise. Makes 1 billion pound investment rather cool on a 200 million pound buy that is now worth probably 5 billion pounds! Sorry for the waffle but this economic talk is never mentioned. I subscribed to your channel Lee because you think and then you talk which is very rare in modern times. A breath of fresh air, thank you for your common sense. To be fair though, many Man United fans (and other clubs) have praised City and their achievement. We all know that comparing which side was/is better is entirely futile. It's the old, "Would Tyson have beaten Ali" question. That 99 United team was fantastic but, like you said about City, their team (Cantona et al) just before that one was even better. My 25-year-old daughter is a big Arsenal fan because of that invincible side we used to watch. She plays football over in Iceland and gets tickets every now and again for the Emirates. For me, the cancer in the system is the media. The Daily Man United (Mail) couldn't hold back for one day in their articles on City's victory. Every story had to have a negative slant. Let's face it, the people that comment on the DM articles aren't the brightest lamps in the house, so it doesn't take much to get them frothing at the mouth. Once again, thanks.

I just want to get over with the court thing and get done with it, I don't want it to nag us for years to come. What's this oddity ? "Common sense" I think it's called . I'm a City fan and was watching a video earlier of an Arsenal fan saying he was very upset City won the CL. He said "I hate it because City were the cause of all our pain this season". Sorry dude. Arsenal were the cause of Arsenals pain this season. They had a run of games against Scousers, Southampton, West Ham, at the back end of the season where they fluffed it. Had they won just those three (and they should have done), they would have probably won the league. Face it, Arsenal crumbled when it mattered. Saying that, I feel for Arsenal fans I really do. Arsenal threw it away, and you can't ever blame another team for that.
