James Marcello - Unlike the New York familys it didnt seem to matter so much in the Outfit if one of your parents was not Italian. for instance Murray the Camel Humphreys was of Welsh decent and he was one of the top men at one time. As far as I understand, John Gotti senior's wife was Jewish. Which means John Junior is not full Italian.

In the 90s, they changed the rule. As long as your father was Italian, you could be made. It didn't matter if your mother was not Italian.
