I mean, he could quite possibly be a low tenor or high baritone, but he isn’t like a high tenor, especially with how effortlessly he can access his lower register. Whereas you can see that he has at least a little more trouble with notes that tenors can easily hit (i.e. A4 to C5 in chest voice)

That's A5 at 10:04 was pure head voice. And wonderfully executed, hence why he was able to sustain it for so long, pretty solid vocalist. His mixed belts are insane. Wish I had the training to develop my mix
There are some discussions about head voice for men. Most of people believe that men don't have a head voice, but a fullbodied falsetto or mix voice, but there is two types of mix voice, one that has a more full and connected sound and one that has a more falsetto sound. I believe that some men have to ability to use head voice, and others do not. i cant i only have falsetto :/ so its not as powerful, but i can mixed until a g5 so dont really need it haha

It's kind of inspiring just how great of a singer he is. He practiced his butt off in order to have such a great vocal range because you aren't just born with this kind of talent. It's beautiful.

All these things you guys are saying are all pretty unrealistic. They all have a "normal" ranges when it comes to notes they can "actually sing". In that case, Zayn's vocal range is actually around 3 octaves, which is very normal for a guy, Brendon's vocal range should be around 3.9 octaves which is pretty impressive. Brendon's highest note is actually C6, anything above that is just plain old screams and vocal cracks. Mitch's range should be around 3 octaves which is normal for guy. Although he can reach some (true) whistle notes like the F6 he did in chandelier, and the C7 he did in an interview, but his whistles notes are uncontrolled and disconnected so I don't know if that counts. Therefore,
Zayn's range: A2-A5 [3 octaves]
Brendon's range: D2-C6 [3.9 octaves]
Mitch's range: F#2- A#5(C6) [3.4 octaves]
