I decided I needed to push the Germans back to Berlin so launch a series of counter offensives that only pushed a few states but by this point Germanys offensive abilities couldn’t beat back my units so I slowly advanced to Berlin and the Americans eventually got their shit together and beat Japan

I keep dnipetrovsk and kiev under my fallback line and build max forts on them as well as the provinces that arent guarded by a river. Building 4-5 supply hubs in that fallback line is a must. I also set minimal cohesion so a unit near minsk isnt tryna cover for a unit near odessa. Once it has stagnated i just create frontline with minimal cohesion and micro medium tanks throughout railways and supply hubs to encircle and kill them.

I once was able to create an infantry template that stopped the Germans at the border like a WALL, I basically didn't lose more than 1 or 2 provinces, all green bubble's till they got to 0 manpower on scraping the barrel. You build an air force, with fighters build correctly and taking the bonus on the soviet focus tree you'll destroy all the German air in a month and they will have no pushing abilities.

If you do your build up correctly you can end up with 360 9inf 1arty Infantry Divisions fully trained. And in '43 you can easily have 5 full Field marshal armies with inf. add some to offensive units and youre a unstoppable monster

If the AI has more than two functional neurons it is normal
it has to do with fort level, if i am not wrong. AI hardly ever attacks forts which are above level 5, because it is too "suicidal" and not worth it.
