US-340 Southbound in Virginia, Front Royal to Luray

Traveling southbound on US Route 340 in Virginia from westbound on I-66 north of Front Royal to westbound on US-211 north of Luray. This portion of US-340 saw upgrades in the '10s including replacement of most of US-340's narrow older bridges. The South Fork Shenandoah River can also be seen a couple of times along this route since this portion of US-340 rides along the top of a cliff, similar to the George Washington Memorial Parkway in Northern Virginia.

I used to go down there every time I want to visit Shenandoah National Park.

US Route 340 passes the Shenandoah River twice. First in Virginia and in West Virginia before the Potomac River and border of Maryland.
