It was not. Apparently some people claimed that a long time Indonesian Sora fan got caught with Covid, so he wanted to bring his merch along with him to the hospital/quarantine. People somehow connected that he was part of the Knights based on the date of his account was made, and knowing how the spread of information works in Indonesia, it was in the end an exaggerated story.

Kinda similar to those viral ghost vids but it turns out they're using props/actors for the ghost. This is really what people tend to not know. These day's people tend to look at Hololive as a huge and successful company of Vtubers. But what they tend to not know/forget is that like any company Hololive stared out as a really small company that really didnt know what it wanted to do. But Yagoo did want was not to make idols/vtubers, but a VR game. Then, there's Sora. Sora having a dream of wanting to be an idol, but doesnt know where to start. Asked A-chan for advice. Thankfully, that was the time where Kizuna AI first started to post videos on YT and started to gain attention. Now, we know the story of how Sora stated working at Hololive. A-chan basically asked Yagoo to let them borrow/rent their VR equipment. But that was just the beginning. Sora faced really though hardships and since she's the only talent Hololive has, she had a lot riding on her shoulders. Even though shes technically a talent of Hololive, they didnt really had that much reach as they do now. So Sora's basically like an indie Vtuber at the time. Since her first debut. Sora had a consistent viewer count of around the mid 10-12 during the first months. But she held on, until eventually we come to what Hololive is now. Seriously, someone should make a documentary of the company. It basically writes itself.

Given that A-chan have a very high position in Hololive it is very likely that they have stock compensation. Startups usually use stock compensation to supplement wages so that they don't quickly run out of money in the very beginning.

I have read somewhere here on YT that one of the 13 knights passed away due to covid. He even wanted to take his Sora merch with him.
I can't confirm the validity of this but I do hope that it's not real.
It was not. Apparently some people claimed that a long time Indonesian Sora fan got caught with Covid, so he wanted to bring his merch along with him to the hospital/quarantine. People somehow connected that he was part of the Knights based on the date of his account was made, and knowing how the spread of information works in Indonesia, it was in the end an exaggerated story.

@@ultima214 I'd like to believe that, but there's so many versions of the story that dilute the facts with falsehoods. Kinda similar to those viral ghost vids but it turns out they're using props/actors for the ghost. Though I do know an Indonesian got caught with covid in Japan, but the news itself isn't posted/reported anywhere so yeah I'm taking it with a grain of salt. I'm not in the Indonesian region btw so the actual news might've reached you but it doesn't on mine.

This is really what people tend to not know.
These day's people tend to look at Hololive as a huge and successful company of Vtubers. But what they tend to not know/forget is that like any company Hololive stared out as a really small company that really didnt know what it wanted to do. But Yagoo did want was not to make idols/vtubers, but a VR game.
Then, there's Sora. Sora having a dream of wanting to be an idol, but doesnt know where to start. Asked A-chan for advice. Thankfully, that was the time where Kizuna AI first started to post videos on YT and started to gain attention.
Now, we know the story of how Sora stated working at Hololive. A-chan basically asked Yagoo to let them borrow/rent their VR equipment.
But that was just the beginning. Sora faced really though hardships and since she's the only talent Hololive has, she had a lot riding on her shoulders. Even though shes technically a talent of Hololive, they didnt really had that much reach as they do now. So Sora's basically like an indie Vtuber at the time. Since her first debut. Sora had a consistent viewer count of around the mid 10-12 during the first months.
But she held on, until eventually we come to what Hololive is now. Seriously, someone should make a documentary of the company. It basically writes itself.
remember Yagoo got funded by his investors as a startup company that sells VR system,
while Sora is probably one of his many ways to market his device, ...and then he got carried away by the idol business
as investor you may question Yagoo of his decision, but since Cover turns out as a good investment, probably they just let him go
Venture investors usually look for startup with leaders that can execute. Idea's are not really indicator for success because sometimes good ideas are too early for the market. So they look for someone that can adopt to market changes even if their idea's are not that good chances are they'll find a way to grow their startup. So Tanigo who have the ability to quickly and decisively change direction is actually very attractive for investors.
History we don't dare to forgot.. The 13 Knights... A stream that they watched that day, laid a foundation of who we(hololive) are now..
Hololive Alternative planned JRPG should have the 13 knights as NPC guarding Sora in the castle, let's just hope COVER do feature the 13 knights and have that extra knight in spartan getup as the guide to everything in Sora's castle.

50 viewer on the first stream is actually pretty huge for a new unknown vtuber/streamer, especially in a landscape where the concept of vtuber is pretty much on its infancy.
