I like the idea of cutting cardboard for a template to align the cutouts on the board.

I just saw this video......and it looks like you have the same reasons as we do and we are also looking at a Nova 51. Thanks for the video.

I really enjoyed this video and I appreciate you taking the time to thoroughly esplain the reasoning behind this choice of a machine. My only question is about the 130w of the laser.... Looking back on your use, do you consider this to be a bit much for what you want to cut or is this power of laser for the what if situations? I respect and admire what you are doing and I will continu on following your work as I'm sure it will evolve in time into more original art work and technics! Good going and keep up the good work.

I did have some doubts as to whether the machine was too much power or not... since co2 tubes can only fire soo low (mine is around 10% power) that does mean that I can't get as low as may be needed for some things. That said, I can still cut paper reasonably well running at around 1k mm/sec. On most cuts I rarely go over 80% power, but it's nice to have the headroom!

Nice video...I need to get my ShopSabre CNC paid off before I look at a laser like this but I am very interested. Was wondering if it appeared possible to cut out a second exhaust port on this unit to enhance the exhaust?

So after a year with the 130W what do you think? Worth the investment?

I used to have one machine with the same specs, learned how to cut a entire mdf sheet of 130 centimeters for 240 centimeters, using markings and sliding the sheet through the machine, let me know if you want to learn how to do it. Cheers.

I just ordered mine. Do you have a video on testing settings for materials?

I enjoyed your review, but I have a question.
I just ordered this and am going over the manual while waiting for delivery. Page 7 shows that the maximum table load weight for this unit is 66 pounds. I'm sure it's not something you do frequently but are you concerned at all about damaging the lift mechanism by laying or sitting in there?

Can you paint your wood before making your cuts? I think I saw that in the video but want to make certain.

How often do you have to realign your mirrors?

Could I just duct the exhaust into a charcoal filter if I don’t have a way to vent it out the window instead?
