Turtle Wax is king. Literally, just yesterday I used the Obsessed garage's Decon Soap on a car well maintained with TW Ceramic spray coating. I was of course thinking the Decon Soap since it is supposed to clean off all waxes and sealants, would remove the TW. Well, it didn't. Turtle Wax was oblivious to Decon soap. TW was still super hydrophobic even after I did the DeCon wash a second time. Turtle Wax products hold up extremely well against everything. Great job Jimbo.
They are a marketing company first and a product company second thats why everyone buys from them because your average joe isnt a processional detailer and cant think for themselves
Don't get me wrong, a few their products are very good and cost effective; such as the hex logic pads, microfiber towels, and the snow foam. For most of the other products of theirs I've tried, there are much better consumer level products available from other brands (same or cheaper price point)
I've got turtle wax spray wax and seal and shine. The only two I use. It's so true that some of my CG products have gone off or I don't use anymore. When you got a family it's not very necessary to have to get the most baller of products... Turtle wax is right on!!
Nice video man. I used to use TW ice spray wax all the time. It's amazing stuff. Only reason I don't spray wax as much is because I picked up a buffer a year ago and got addicted to polishing and waxing.
Great review. I've found Chemical Guy's spray waxes to not last very long. It's almost like they're more than detail spray, but less than an actual wax. Thankfully, I've found other products that are just as easy to use, fairly priced, and seem to last longer. I like the review though...
Chemical Guys focuses mainly on marketing and advertising. Most of Their products are mediocre and they know it! Their bread and butter is advertising to a younger audience whom most of them are too young to know about old school companies like Mother's, Meguiar's and Turtle Wax. If Turtle Wax would spend a little more time in re-designing their bottles (from those awful awkward shaped bottles) and making their labels and packaging more "user Friendly" it would definitely dominate CG, Masterson's and maybe even Adams. The Blazin Banana is a top up wax, it’s not meant to be your main layer. I use CG on my one car and Turtle Wax on the other. Both work really well in my opinion. I haven’t found the TW ICE products here in New Zealand yet. Great content Jimbo 👍🏻
Love the TW spray & shine improved formula! Living on the east coast I try to apply a coat at least once a month, weather permitting. Do both my cars in 40 min!
Ice Spray Wax was impressive the two times I purchased it. The Ice Spray Wax is actually a hybrid polymer/carnauba blend. So, it should last longer than the carnauba only CG Blazin' Banana. From TW website: Easy spray-and-wipe application for convenient use and long-lasting results Formulated with carnauba car wax for a wet, lustrous shine Safe to apply in extreme hot or cold temperatures, even in direct sunlight ICE Smart Shield® polymer formula creates a slick, protective seal to prevent streaking, fine lines and swirls on the surface of your car. I have a few CG products that I have not used, so I am not a CG fan. My go to products are from Duragloss, which I have used since 2010. Duragloss Aqua Wax (951) is my favorite spray wax. Thanks for the time you spent on this video.
I completely disagree. Their packaging is next level for someone who thinks high price and colorful crazy fonts means superior products. To that demographic they are the best there is
This are the only two products I have used for years to fake a ceramic coating. Chemical guys are a great option with a glaze. Screw ten hours of cutting half of the clear coat and spend a hundred dollars on products to ceramic a car. Most cars need a light polish, a glaze, a CG butter wax and it looks like a coating. You save yourself hundreds for maintenance and a thousand plus for a coating. We are going backwards.🧐
My bid @1.30: I bet a gummibear, that the Turtle will wipe the floor with the Banana. 😊 I've yet to see anything named banana-whatever last more than a month. 😉
when chemical guys discontinued their best product (Citrus Wash), I've been done with them for a long time now lol. 75 waxes and 429 different car wash soaps, and they had to get rid of the best one. Having said that, I've been using the TW Spray Wax 2.0 as a drying aid, and it's been awesome!
When ice came out it changed the market. I think it was around 2000 , fast a furious days prime . I didt have my license yet but remember all the adult's using it. Seemed like the first product that made cars looked waxed from a spray . I had the banana wax , it smells so good at first and then the bottle starts to smell very bad to the point where I had to throw it away because my entire shop smelled like poo banana. I do really like chemical guys tho
Now this is odd I was thinking of buying the blazing banana as a maintenance after I apply the chemical guys butter wax and before I became a fan of chemical guys I used the turtle wax which I was happy with but I like chemical guys.
Great job!! this is the kind of real time test that is missing on most if not all UA-cam product comparison videos! I recently bought the CG Banana Spray, and was very happy with the instant shine; it even erased bird poop off the hood of my car; but I have yet to tell about its durability. After watching this side to side comparison test; I am going to definitely try the Turtle Wax Ice Spray!! You can't beat the price and the longevity vs CG Banana Spray Wax!! so thank you!!

For a non professional, I believe I will get two years of protection with the TW Hybrid Ceramic products, with a boost at 6 month mark. To me, Chemical Guys has too many products, very confusing?
Hey jimbo, you make amazing videos on the detailing product I'm eagerly waiting for your video to compare/ durability test of improved seal n shine v. Tw hybrid ceramic spray
