The most beautiful point & shoot film camera you've ever seen. The Nikon 28Ti

- A few months ago I got a Nikon 28ti film point and shoot camera. It's the first film point and shoot camera that I've ever gotten, and it's so beautiful. You need to see this analog display it has, and the incredibly sharp 28mm lens. I wanted to shoot Portra 400 35mm film, but instead I shot Lomography 400 for the first time on this film point and shoot and I was very pleased with the results. I think it will be a perfect compliment to my Contax 645 as well as my Nikon F100

I just wanted to say, I LOVE how excited you are about your photography. Your energy and excitement in sharing your reactions to the film scans gets ME excited, and I think watching your channel is so refreshing amongst the many other photography UA-cam channels that often feel really serious. Thanks for letting your joy show on camera :)
That’s awesome, so glad you feel that way and let me know! That’s definitely my intention, I want it to be light hearted and fun! Thanks for watching!
Wow, what a beautiful camera. Really beautiful photographs as well!
Thanks very much! Thanks for watching! Right?! it's so beautiful.
Always loved the look of that and the 35mm version.... but I can't justify a grand on one of those. They're sky rocketing in cost! Great video man!
It was definitely a splurge, and not for everyone, but yeah that analog dial sucked me in! 🤦🏼♂️ thanks for watching!!
Randomly found your page looking for 28ti videos. Glad I found it! Great review...and I really enjoy your enthusiasm! Subscribed!
Oh awesome! Thanks - glad you enjoyed it!
The last two shots wow! This will likely be the POS I add to my collection. Subbed
Thank you!! Ah you will love it. Glad you enjoyed it!
I love your energy Bruv . Great review and shots!
Thanks man!! ✌🏻✌🏻🙏🏻
Just found this channel randomly and this was fun to watch you see so excited about the results. Definitely subscribed, hope you start getting more views! I’m breaking out the autoboy ii I just got tomorrow, first pns
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Ooo fun! That's such a cool camera - have fun!
Will you let me know if you like yours? I just put my second roll through mine. My first one I Shot Cinestill 800T and my friend was out of focus in all of the photos. I am not sure how to diagnose this.
But definitely a fun camera!
Just came across your video on my feed. I love the energy my bro! Keep up the great work!
Thank you! Appreciate it!
amazing video, really thinking of buying this cam over the t2! btw, I would love to see how you guys direct each other when shooting these pics!
I LOVE your energy, subscribed!
Aw thanks!! Glad you enjoyed!
What a beautiful camera and some stunning shots!!
Great video mate... thanks for sharing!
So beautiful right?! Thanks! Thanks for watching!
@@lukewtcleland I'll check out some more videos soon!
The images are just incredible
Thank you!
Ohhh man. This is my all time favorite point and shoot. It’s incredible. The feel, the functionality, the metering. It’s just phenomenal. I strongly regret selling mine and now they’re so damn expensive. I did buy a 35Ti after but it ended up having a shutter problem that was irreparable. So now I’m afraid of the expensive point and shoots. Enjoy it.
Yes!! Ahh man yeah that’s too bad. Ha yeah they are pricey. But fun while they work lol
A gorgeous P&S indeed. You've definitely triggered my GAS. My current P&S only opens up to 38mm and F4.5. Also, I perked up when you mentioned Niagara-on-the-Lake! I didn't realize you're also from Toronto
Yes! That 2.8 is nuts. haha Cool! Great to meet a fellow Torontonian!
wow that camera is a beaut!
it is isn't it?!
I remember the time when that camera came out, along with her sister 35Ti. And yes, even than it was praised to no end. So I did reconsidered it, back then. But it was so damn expensive (about $2000 back in 1994 if I remember correctly), as it is today, that few people could afford it, me included...
Wow that’s crazy! I can’t believe it was that expensive back then. It definitely is quite expensive - more like a collectors item almost.
@@lukewtcleland Yes unfortunately, and even more damming, with exception of few Contaxes and Konicas (which are also becoming damn old) there's no film camera like that...
Dang was fully expecting this video be about a contax t2 because that’s the cool thing to do but dang this is perfect! Except I’m a canon fanboy…. But definitely going to search for one!
Haha yes!! I was hoping that would happen. I know, I was so surprised when I came across it because I’d never heard about it before!
@@lukewtcleland same! Very tempted to grab this over the t2
Randomly buys a high end $1200 point and shoot camera and expects it to be a cheap piece of plastic with a soft lens
haha you're not wrong!
$850 but you made me still want one.
haha you're welcome. lol
@@lukewtcleland I’m a sucker for a 28mm lens with Nikon had one native for the Z mount that was 1.4.
How can you overexpose the film with this camera?
I was looking for a cheap, fun film camera to try, but because of this video I'm actually considering buying this Nikon 😅 unfortunately (or maybe fortunately for my wallet) I couldn't find any online in my country, there's only ONE Nikon 35ti available. Maybe someday 😊
Hahah you’re welcome. 😂
It is a beautiful little camera. I will be doing another video in the coming weeks about more affordable point and shoots as well! Maybe there’s still a beautiful one out that that’s available, and less wallet breaking. Lol
@@lukewtcleland awesome, looking forward to the video 😊
What tripod fits this camera?
I has just a normal 1/4 thread on the bottom!
It's a really good camera, but a pricey one :c
it definitely is on the pricey side!
Nice camera but too much money. Where are you get your film developed in the Toronto area?
It is a lot. I get most of my film done at Canadian Film Lab in BC right now. If I need something for personal work I get it done at Downtown Camera. There doesn't seem to be much in Toronto.
You never knew they existed!? C'mon
It's the truth!
This camera is so expensive.
it is. very.
Film? Why on earth would you want to use film - it's a total waste of time!!
It does take a lot of time.
