The most beautiful point & shoot film camera you've ever seen. The Nikon 28Ti

  • A few months ago I got a Nikon 28ti film point and shoot camera. It's the first film point and shoot camera that I've ever gotten, and it's so beautiful. You need to see this analog display it has, and the incredibly sharp 28mm lens. I wanted to shoot Portra 400 35mm film, but instead I shot Lomography 400 for the first time on this film point and shoot and I was very pleased with the results. I think it will be a perfect compliment to my Contax 645 as well as my Nikon F100

    I just wanted to say, I LOVE how excited you are about your photography. Your energy and excitement in sharing your reactions to the film scans gets ME excited, and I think watching your channel is so refreshing amongst the many other photography UA-cam channels that often feel really serious. Thanks for letting your joy show on camera :)

    Always loved the look of that and the 35mm version.... but I can't justify a grand on one of those. They're sky rocketing in cost! Great video man!

      Will you let me know if you like yours? I just put my second roll through mine. My first one I Shot Cinestill 800T and my friend was out of focus in all of the photos. I am not sure how to diagnose this.
      But definitely a fun camera!

    Ohhh man. This is my all time favorite point and shoot. It’s incredible. The feel, the functionality, the metering. It’s just phenomenal. I strongly regret selling mine and now they’re so damn expensive. I did buy a 35Ti after but it ended up having a shutter problem that was irreparable. So now I’m afraid of the expensive point and shoots. Enjoy it.

    A gorgeous P&S indeed. You've definitely triggered my GAS. My current P&S only opens up to 38mm and F4.5. Also, I perked up when you mentioned Niagara-on-the-Lake! I didn't realize you're also from Toronto

    I remember the time when that camera came out, along with her sister 35Ti. And yes, even than it was praised to no end. So I did reconsidered it, back then. But it was so damn expensive (about $2000 back in 1994 if I remember correctly), as it is today, that few people could afford it, me included...

    • @lukewtcleland
      @lukewtcleland  Рік тому +1

      Wow that’s crazy! I can’t believe it was that expensive back then. It definitely is quite expensive - more like a collectors item almost.

      @@lukewtcleland Yes unfortunately, and even more damming, with exception of few Contaxes and Konicas (which are also becoming damn old) there's no film camera like that...

    I was looking for a cheap, fun film camera to try, but because of this video I'm actually considering buying this Nikon 😅 unfortunately (or maybe fortunately for my wallet) I couldn't find any online in my country, there's only ONE Nikon 35ti available. Maybe someday 😊

    • @lukewtcleland
      @lukewtcleland  2 роки тому

      It is a lot. I get most of my film done at Canadian Film Lab in BC right now. If I need something for personal work I get it done at Downtown Camera. There doesn't seem to be much in Toronto.
