That is amazing! I also have a hand that has very little movement in the arm and no moment in the hand. I have a Phantom 3 pro that I fly with one hand. It was really cool to see that guy fly fpv! I've wanted to fly racing drones but was hesitant do to my one hand. But seeing this guys' technique showed me it is possible to fly fpv racing drones with one hand!
That is what FPV is really about. Friends, Fun, and Kindness at its finest. I have yet to fly with anyone that wouldn't give me help in a heartbeat when needed. I just gave a set of props to someone I just met today so he could keep flying at our race today, and when I needed a hot glue gun you know that I didn't even have to plug it in. The quads are dangerous, but the people are to humble to ever take this away from us. Keep these great videos coming so no one ever forgets why we all started flying FPV.
Hey guys i'm 57 years old, just got into FPV in December, and every time I watch yall I get nothing but inspired !!!!! Yall are awesome and I doing great things for the sport !!! The one handed pilot was out if this world !!!! God bless him and yall for being such an inspiration to us all. I think most people forget in life to live alittle and just have some fun!!!! Keep up the good work, all of you!!!
That was awesome. The Love in that club is very evident. Bringing people together and making it a fun time for all no one could ask for more. Really made Roberts day. That was a nice touch. This is way I got into quads to be inspired by others and just have a good time. Respect to all you guys and Girls at Quad Racing Group Ohio. From Gizz in the UK. Rotor Riot you Rock.
Very cool stuff, love seeing the guys interacting with "normal" pilots. Not only sharing knowledge and advice, but sharing/giving away hardware. Keep up the good work and goodwill, you make us all proud!
What you guys are doing at Rotor Riot is VERY important to remind everyone the importance of keeping it real. Competition, prize money and corporations will eventually bring the evils of men along with it, but what you're doing here is to set the stage for new comers to the hobby to pick up the right mindset - empathy, generosity, passion AND community. Chad, Steele and the rest of the boys of RR please keep doing what you do for this amazing sport. I assure you, people from all over the world are watching and learning from you guys! Here's a hearty kudos from sunny Singapore!
I take my hat of you guys for supporting the dude with one hand movement. It just goes to show that there is still caring people out they and will help others in need of help or motivation with out self profiting them selves from. That is what fpv is to me. Having fun in a group and helping those that need it
this to me depictz the real life of mini quads. the older man, the glasses mod, the man wanting a drone now, the lost kwad, the one armed flyer, the friendliness of everyone. It's absolutely awesome
Thank you guys for high lighting that gentleman. Being part of the community with disabilities its good to see people out doing things and not holding back. Its Specially nice to see people at Rotor Riots level going out of their way to spotlight and support someone with disabilities. Chads praise and respect for what he does would have been enough but going one step further and presenting him with an awesome quad like that was beyond. Much more respect for what you guys are about.
Awesome to show the spirit of FPV & mateship behind this hobby. :) Much prefer this than the serious racing ...Helping find lost quads, supporting getting each other in the air, welcoming new visitors, generosity giving away quads to guys that really deserve it, sharing tips around getting glasses to fit FPV goggles = keeping it real !
ive been binging your videos for hours now, and this was by far the best one. it's one thing with your guys obvious fast growing fame that you still want to go out and hang out with fans and fellow fliers. but giving that guy a quad was just the coolest thing you could do. I mean just think about it for a second, imagine getting handed a stick from a nhl player or bat from a mlb star. Thats honestly the impact that you guys have for hobbyists in my eyes and surely the man who was given the quad. PLEASE never lose that. You guys can really change people's lives with the small things like that and it's few an far between to have people like you guys. just saying
I am very impressed with that fellow. He is paving the way for others that may be disabled to enjoy a sport that is amazing. You Rotor Riot gents did a good thing and I commend you for it.
I flew with a local racing group here yesterday for the first time and I am really amazed at the kinds of groups that are out there and we had a blast. Finally have a better tune on my 5" Alien and was having a ball. Thanks for what you do RR crew. Even got me a little misty on that one. 🙄
Love the positive flow of this video, its rare nowadays.I think its a big part why i jumped back into flying after a 3 year hiatus. Keep it up, Gentlemen.
Great episode Chad! I have cerebral palsy and had a terrible accident last year that took most use of my left hand. Been into fpv for about five months and doing great. my hat goes off for this guy and RR!
This is my favorite episode now.Great job Chad. That guy is inspiring. I have a Tendon issue in my left hand at the moment and using my thumb hurts. For the last few days I've felt blessed I have all my limbs, and how horrible it would be if I lost the use of something. With my thumb hurting for two days now, I sometimes get worried it won't go away. Hopefully just a sprang, but this guy inspires me that if for some reason it's something worse- there's always hope for you to do your passion!
I have to say this is the best video I have seen to date that you all have put out. Great job and keep content like this coming. inspection and education is what will help this sport grow in my opinion.
this is one of the most inspiring videos I have ever seen. rotor riot you got me into flying you keep pushing get the limits and you have a lifetime subscriber now. you guys are insanely talented but the way you give back to the quad community is even more impressive. thank you for making this video.
I thought Rotor riot was a great group of guys but this took them to a new level. You guys take the time out of your lives to fly with the average guy and what you did for the one handed flyer was amazing. the guy obviously has a passion for his hobby and to take what others would call a show stopper and turn it into a skill like that is absolutely amazing to say the least. Keep up the good game!
What an awesome thing to inspire so many people :D I've crashed my quad in tall grass a few times now and I found that you can narrow down your search area considerably by using the RSSI on your radio! Walk in a straight line towards where you think the quad is and watch the RSSI (Radio Signal Strenght Indicator) go up and then down - When the number starts going down, turn around 90 degrees and repeat. I can usually see my quadcopter after 2 or three turns :)
Sorry guys I just found this vid. FRIGGIN OUTSTANDING of you all, you know he'll enjoy the hell out of that Vortex-Pro, that man was AMAZING on the sticks. Thank you Rotor Riot for giving us RC'ers such great role models out there in the world. See you all in the air. wayne
Awesome episode. Thanks for sharing their local story. I can't wait for this sport to take off and become the X-Games of racing. Fingers are crossed for something like that. It really has been a long time coming for the sport to get mass exposure and respect..
That man validates so much of what I knew to be true about this hobby. I have a massive amount of respect for this group- you guys are rockstars in Ohio.
Amazing video! You guys are doing great things for the hobby. Not just by the crazy antics you guys create, but also by showing these types of stories. That was just too cool.
I once saw a guy in a similar situation, but he had a knob on his right stick for controlling yaw. so left stick was just throttle, right was aileron, elevator, and if you twist the knob on top, yaw.
This guy is amazing and reminds me of my dad, his arm looks very similar to my father's and he taught me to race 1/10th scale electric rc cars back in the 90's with stick radios. There is so much you can do with 1 hand, it doesn't hold you back. ❤️❤️❤️
Wow man thats so cool how people with disabilties can do anything by now.

You guys are awesome, that was so nice of you guys to give him that quad. You can tell he really appreciated it.

The one handed Pilot is fucking amazing, guys!!! Flying whit one hand is mission impossible! O_O
yeahh .. i thought the same !!!!
Where there's a will there's a way, he's proof of that, and a kick ass pilot to boot!
Thank you guys for high lighting that gentleman. Being part of the community with disabilities its good to see people out doing things and not holding back. Tear jerker FPV video! It went from how cool to have rotor riot at a local club to Above and beyond supporting and inspiring pilot. Nicely done!

One handed guy = legend. That's so badass - most impressive things I've seen in FPV for a while
What an awesome thing to inspire so many people :D

Very very awesome ! Rotor riot for the win! Captain Uno's reaction was so touching !
Awesome, so good to see those guys having fun and helping one another.
FATSHARK you better hook him up with some HD2
Amen to that. All the big vendors should be hooking him up with free stuff to make the hobby as enjoyable as possible for him.
more like hd02
One of my favorite Rotor Riot episodes. Kudos to you Chad(s) and RR.
That man validates so much of what I knew to be true about this hobby. I have a massive amount of respect for this group- you guys are rockstars in Ohio.

FPV flyers make up a great community, and it's the people that make it so. Great video RR.
great episode!!!! very inspirational story and thank you for giving back to the hobby the way you guys do!!!
I once saw a guy in a similar situation, but he had a knob on his right stick for controlling yaw. so left stick was just throttle, right was aileron, elevator, and if you twist the knob on top, yaw.
You guys are amazing! I love what you do.
