Namma bengaluru. I love Bangalore even tho I am Australian whenever I go there to meet family it’s so amazing. I loved it so much that I even learnt how to speak Kannada at least the point where I can communicate with people.
This is perfectly good video highlighting why Bangalore is an amazing city. People need to stop complaining, our cities aren't comparable to the West. There is no bias in the video, which is a rare thing for Western media.
You see 0.001% of Bangalore City nice place. It is garden City, electronic City, hi -tech city, it city of India.
For me, I like to say Bangalore, rather than called as Bengaluru. Because my tongue will be difficult to say Bengaluru. By the way, Bangalore name is more familiar in my opinion, because it is instantly recognise worldwide. Some of people especially from outside India don't know what Bengaluru is.
Not sure if you are local to Bengaluru especially from City Area. If you are then you would know that the local population(Kannadigas) always called their place as Bengaluru from time immemorial. It is the Britishers who could not pronounce the kannada word, angelized it and started calling it Bangalore. It takes few tries to master it. Benga-luru , thats it.
Waa beautiful India and there's places 2..So greeny with natural beauty .lots of love from Nepal to India.
Dude this video literally didn't show you most developed parts of Bangalore. They portray whole asia as wosrt .
Bro Bangalore is one among the most greenest cities in India with many trees around. India is beautiful. India is more beautiful than America through natural beauty. But you know Western media shows Indian slums, dirty and filthy residential areas. Only negative side.
Great video! Can't understand the butthurt comments though. Indians are always 'embarrassed' about westerners visiting slums and making documentaries on it, but it is one of the realities of this country. For better or for worse this is the country you were born in and have to accept it warts and all. Poverty is rapidly decreasing in this country and when there won't be many slums, people will look back to these videos to appreciate the transformation.
Good compilation but missed the lakes...such a unique adornment to the city!

To all the commenters below, please see the whole video. I don't understand where CNBC folks showed Bengaluru's poor side? They didn't. If you think KR market part of the video was poor, then you probably are just wrong.
Can someone tell me the name of the background music?
Wtf. No mention of the Kannada theater dramas and night dramas and folk stuff outside during all the festivals? And not to mention that Karnataka was the first region to be electrified and had the biggest dam in Asia first. Karnataka was always a champion of science and technology because of the Mysuru Wodeyar kings. You went to KR Market and if u had done your homework, u would have known about all the various markets next to each other created by the kings for the development of commerce which thrives to this day. And u did not show the architectural wonders of the city and the ancient temples as well. Also, u forgot about Vidhana Soudha, one of the best looking government buildings in the world. Literally no one cares about beer places in the city except for the spoiled rich kids cuz u can get them anywhere.
I think this video was more about economic growth and development rather than culture. Yes, the local culture is important and underrated. This video probably showed KR Market is the biggest wholesale market in Bangalore, Nightlife in the city has become quite popular and the beer culture is growing thanks to places like Toit, I don't understand the whole stand up thing but that's probably because of the growing entertainment industry? Bangalore is a great place with a vibrant culture.
