Yup- the more makeup you put on, the more steps you add -> if you wear full coverage foundation, you suck all the dimension out of your face, so you have to bronze/blush/contour to add the colour and shape back. If you work with the features you already have, it’s simpler and will look more naturally flattering. Her videos are amazing!
@@oliviac295 Exact reason why I love her tutorials! Heavy makeup can look so cool in photos but rarely in real life. I wanna learn how to enchain my own features with as little and natural looking makeup as possible. Then, if I want some parts of it to be bolder/more striking, like colourful eyeshadow or her golden highlighter, I can use that on top of it without the whole look becoming too crowded.

Please beware that makeup influencers use lighting, sometimes filters and a bit of base makeup before applying video makeup. Im sure she’s also drop dead gorgeous in person too! And if you have texture, “imperfections”, acne etc don’t be ashamed because influencers have it too and it’s completely normal for everyone! :) Although I must say, she is stunning and literally glowing!!

I like this! Someone who has a less than more approach to contouring nose,cheeks, and forhead. I've seen where it looks like dirt is on the face, just too much. I can now see myself trying this now.

Its not technique for everyone. If you have low cheekbones naturally, enhancing them by placing contour underneath may disturb the facial symmetry and drag your face down. For some people it's better to place contour on cheekbone or even above and curve it upwards. We have very different face structures so there is not one technique fits all, guys remember that! She looks beautiful with this method, but not everyone will!
Ive never really contoured, i prefer doing all natural makeup, but i will try it now to see if i really prefer using it or not

Under the cheekbone works for you, but for many faces it needs to be placed on the lower edge of it and be blended there so the deepest center of the contour color is in the right place and not too low.

Don't go darker than 2/3 shades darker than your skin and avoid orange contours. Also remember that bronzer is warm toned and contour is cool toned. I hope this helps.
@@ramieyon995 thank you for the advice! I was using a shade that was too dark for me and looked orange like you mentioned. I got a new contour stick that is a cooler tone and is just a bit darker than my shade and it works perfect! I was struggling to find a contour stick for my shade to be honest, but I got one from MILK (I think they’re new) and they had a good match for me. Thanks again for the advice🤍😊
