i really enjoy seeing other artists talk about their favorite supplies, products that are good deals, and watching other artists paint and draw. I enjoyed the video - thanks!
I love favourites videos! Thank you - I am now longing for some Molotow markers. The beautiful muted colours are right up my street! Also, I love your illustration style. :)
Hello Natasha! Thank you so much for your comment, it means a lot coming from you! Yes, what I like about those Molotow markers besides some of those more muted tones is that they are selling refils, so no empty marker wastage. :)
A lovely video of interesting materials. Love all the muted colours. Also buy on EBay as there are bargains to be had. Thank you for your great channel. I would love to know more about your layering.
Hello Heather! Yay for second hand ebay buys! There are so many unique art supplies or the ones with great prices. :) You are most welcome here! Also about layering I will write this down, will make a video about it in near future! :))
Found you from your chat with Melanie Chadwick. Happy to be here, your cheery personality is catching and your illustrations are inspiring. Keep the videos coming! :)
I looked you up after Natasha Newton mentioned you and have subscribed. (I suspect several more people will, too!). Thank you very much for this video - I love seeing what other people use and recommend.
I know I’ve told u several times. I enjoy your videos so much! I look forward to them, thank you for the effort you put in to make them for us art nerds!!!!! Lol
Yeeees for studio tour! And I also love seawhite of brighton. Once a friend brought it to me from London. And we even had it here in our artshops. The stock ran out:(
:) glad you also support tour, will try to film soon. Also yes, that Seawhite is good and not so expensive, hope they will restock at your place soon! :)
Kris, I loved this video so much! It feels very pro, but relaxed at the same time. You have such a friendly vibe, I laughed when you showed your space because as you probably remember, my desk is kissing my bed as well 😄 It would be very fun to see the studio tour :) Only if you’re comfortable with it :3 I like how you mix lots of materials together. I think I’ll make some time to make a color book as well, and also for some reason I never thought about hunting promos for art supplies. Such a cool way to save money! By the way, I am a big fan of coloursoft pencils, but mine are cracking all the time when I sharpen them :( Do you use regular metallic sharpener for those? Much looove xx
Aww, first of all thank you for watching and writing this amazing comment! :) Im glad that you liked this ''favourite art materials video'' :) Yes, I think I will do studio tour, I also want to represent its okay to have a lot of space and also it is okay to have small space. :) Colour swatching book is the best thing! Perfect for quickly picking colours, creating colour combos and getting some sort of organisation of which colours I'm having in general. :) I have a little bit Derwent colour-soft, I guess maybe core is broken? It happens to pencils which accidentally fallen of the table etc. But I noticed that I can't press Derwent branded pencils that hard, because they are quite fragile, for example comparing to Faber -castell. For the sharpeners, the best one I have(that one is from metal) is by brand called KUM Long-Point. :)
@@kriksis That’s a great idea! Thank you for being so sincere :) You inspired me, I’ll absolutely get to color swatching this week! As for the pencils, not unless there was a crazy turbulence on their way from the UK, because this was the problem since I got them. I guess you’re right they’re just fragile. I’ve seen many pros using prismacolor as well, those seem sturdy :) Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll look for it next time :)
Love the video. I also have many different brands of colored pencils so I know the trouble with having the right size sharpener. I recently bought a KUM 4 in 1 sharpener which works for all my pencils, even my big Caran DAche magic pencil ;) Just thought I'd mention it ;)
Thank you! I'm so happy that you liked this video! And even watched it till the end where I'm being supper silly :D :) Also, yes, I think I will do tour, I don't know when, but I want to show this tiny space before I move out! :))
Thanks for sharing, I love seeing what supplies people use to create. Would love to see how you maximize and create in a small space. I subscribed to your channel 😁
I find it quite interesting! Your corner studio is maximized! I could do better at “corralling”, all my art art supplies to be reachable! I like your calming character !
That small one? I actually don't know where its from, I think it was a gift to me some time ago. But for swatching I used some Bristol papers and glued it on top of thinner notebook pages.
Hi Kriksis! I just found you channel and currently binge watching your videos. Regarding pencil sharpener, Have you tried the "KUM automatic long point" sharpener? I find that it works very well for me. There are two sharpeners in it where one removes the wood casing and the other one sharpens it. It still shreds off some of the core of the luminance pencils as they are thicker, but It's a lot better than other sharpeners I've tried (I don't have the energy to use a knife/razor blade). Perhaps you've already found the perfect sharpener, but I just wanted to mention it just in case!
That colour book idea is GENIUS! Do you mind if I steal that from you? I always lose track of the colours I have and I like using. Big thumbs up for reusing what you can for storage.
Go for it! :) I guess nothing like super new, and this helped me a lot! :) Before this mini book I had a lot of loose papers for colour swatching, but I really like the book format. :) And yes for reusing!
Hey Laura! :) I published video where I show my studio corner about six months ago, (2 videos after this one), can check in my profile :) I may film an update when I move to different city, but for now that's how it looks. :)

thank you for feedback! I am trying to arrange studio corner so I have everything reachable for myself.
Can you swatch your neocolor collection?
Thank you Naomi! I wrote down this as idea for future video :)
Veery interesting! I didn't know that brand of paint markers and I should definitely buy some art supplies on eBay eheh! :)
I have Molotow markers for a month now, they are good, feels similar like posca. And yes to buying auction art supplies. :D
May I ask which sketchbook you keep all your swatch colours,in?! That’s good to have all your colours in one pace!

Do you use watercolor brushes with your acrylic gouache?
Hello Duffy! Yes I do! But only synthetic, they are the best for gouache in my opinion. :)
Ok I will use mine too. I purchased misty blue because you love it so much!
@@hnnh_co Yaay! :) Just need to clean brushes after painting as it is like acrylic when it dries - can't reactivate.
You are sooo wonderful
Thank you suchitra!
I Have a book like that, for fun, but also because I don’t want to duplicate my supplies…
Yes, I feel its usefull when it comes to buying new art supplies and avoiding to buy duplicates. :)
