This is a great video because I’ve cruised on both and we were often comparing the two. I agree with your ratings, however I have a slight preference for Virgin just because of the great food.
OMG! Just watched your video & figured out we were shipmates for a spell last Fall! We boarded Eclipse Sept 22nd in Vancouver & didn't disembark until Nov 14th, although under duress, as we would've been happy to do another 52 nights. We SO enjoyed ourselves ... So many incredible ports & experiences, say nothing of relaxation on our sunset veranda 'out back' ... Totally agree with your observations regarding Eclipse needing a thorough going-over but pretty much let those annoyances roll off our backs (we're partial to the Solstice class boats). Great video!
Nice video guys. I just got off the Celebrity Infinity, which is one of their oldest ships. I've been on the Equinox which is similar in quality to Eclipse - their solstice line. I find it interesting you can get playing cards at guest services but I couldn't get toothpaste. I am Select with Celebrity and I had no idea of all the benefits. Never knew about the gelato or captains parties. Was never invited. Strange that you get more with Classic than Select which is a higher level. I love Cafe al Bacio. I hope you checked out their numerous teas.
We completely agree which was the idea behind our video! If you don’t know what you’re entitled to as a loyalty cruiser, you miss out!! We’re hoping to try the Beyond next or one of the Virgin Ships!
The red wines under $11 are not listed on the menu. Ask your sommelier for wines that are included in your package and he’ll suggest a few that fit both your palette and your drink package. We suggested a Malbec and he gave us a delicious 2017 Tempranillo that we ended up enjoying many times all over the ship!
@@TwoGayExpats Thanks - that is very helpful. My partner drinks beer, but I drink wine. He is happy with the beers on offer. I am a bit of a wine snob, and I often find cheaper wines not to my taste. The problem is I am Australian and while I know a bit about Australian wines, I know very little about other countries’ wines.

We’ll be there in January 2024 …
What is the situation with red wines? If there are no red wines under $11 in the main dining room, what did you do?
