-Hikaru on his chess diet, 2020
If you move your bishop here, there is a pawn in front of it, it has no scope.
If you move your bishop here, there is a pawn in front of it, it has no scope.
The first world champion was technically the guy who invented it
That's POG
Which one the original creators version of the game is not similar to the one we play now. The modifiers changed the game so much that if you put them next to each other you wouldn’t be able to tell that there the same game

"So for those of you who were able to do it, congratulations, you figured out this is not Agadmator's channel, and for those of you who just want to enjoy the show, here is Super GM Hikaru Nakamura analyzing Paul Morphy's games."
100th's like ❤️❤️❤️
@@ginoldjohn1096 Thanks dude :) I am glad you liked it (no pun intended). Have a blessed day/night! :')
hikuru is big brain
- Sun Tzu, The Art of War
Wtff lmao
Same
- Miyamoto Musashi, The book of five rings
Lmao it is Chinese)
Morphy CRUSHED the best players of his time, taking chess as a childhood past time... retiring at 13 after smashing Lowenthal, coming out of retirement at 20 to kill time and show the chess world who was boss, he studied and played little chess by any chess master standar and so was at the BEGINNING of his true chess potential, yet was essentially invincible... as Anderssen himself said so... yeah the greatest chess genius in hi story
“The Pride and Sorrow of Chess”
A generational player with the greatest romantic style ever
Ah, yes. I watched the queens gambit too.
Who was that?
Oh, that's sound familiar to me
@@appleslover Paul Morphy
I saw the Queen’s gambit and now I’m an expert on chess history.
"The Morphy saga" (regrandmastered) 😉
Lol the wink at the end 🤣
Antonio inspired this guy
I know this isn’t your typical content but this was enjoyable, you should do this more often
That's why analysis by a GM is on another level. I would like more of this
I like how he accidentally finds a winning position at 12 minutes lmao
Oh no poki infected him with the “rook bros”🤣🤣
"Rook bros" will be Hikaru's newly learned chess term after "juicer" and "wooden shield" from xQc
I really like this series of game studies, thanks for the content hikaru :)
ah yes, the lateral bro stack
Your channel is absolutely amazing! Best and enjoyable channel for me personal. This topic is the best ever and great to see a super grandmaster having so much respect for Morphy! Great stuff!!
Really really great Video loved the game and loved how insightful you're commentary was !
Love this type of content, please keep reviewing games Naka

Love this Agadmikaru content.

Hey hikaru! Im new to the community but wanted to say thag i love the videos and especially love you reviewing these historic games!
Love these analysis videos
And in this position agadmator resigned to hikaru's stunning chess commentary stream
This is awesome, and agads morphs saga is awesome, but why haven’t they collaborated on a video. It’d be awesome to watch agad so a Hikaru game with Hikaru
Hikaru is hooked on the good stuff.
A nice bit of chess history from Hikaru
This dude was like the original template for modern high level play, but played far before it existed. Also the last person to single-handedly advance the game by such a margin.
It's actually funny if you ever get the chance to do what morphy did with the queen holding the d2 pawn in place and then going on an attack while they literally can't even move. I've done it twice because well usually you can't do it but when the moment is there try it it's really funny. I love that we can get little tips like that from masters of the game just like fishers book taught me to go h4 h5 if facing the sicillian dragon to open the file and to be honest it works like 90 percent of the time. So much information in our era that even noobs can learn good strategies from top players
ah, The Pride and Sorrow of Chess. The intro is perfect.
I like these reviews of games much more than the millionth bongcloud video.
Paul Morphy was like Hashirama Senju
Keep the Paul Morphy videos Hikaru
They’re great
Paul Morphy, the greatest player of all time without technology ?
That's Kasparov
Greatest player who had no one to show him how to be a great player or what great play looked like. Modern GMs study with other GMs when they’re young, and they study the games of the great GMs from history, neither of which was available to Morphy. The fascinating thing about him is how he was so much greater than anyone before or contemporary to him. It’s unclear how he got so good. He’s just a massive outlier in the progression of chess ability over time. I dunno, maybe it would’ve made more sense for him to have existed a few decades later 😁

hikaru is the world champion bad guy of chess. his skill at chess is only rivaled by his streaming genius. feared and envied by his competitors while loved and adored by his fans. The only streamer in history who is undefeated, undisputed and never missed a move. 100% accuracy rating and protected by a motley crew of stonemasons whenever hes out in public....-excerpt from a history book dated 2044

13:11 "and it was in this position that..."
Lol the thumbnail Agadmura chess
I think the eval bar is confusing for this format. Especially when it shows the opposite of what Hikaru is saying. Hikaru's feedback is more important since no one cares about nerdy engine lines.
I'm no stranger to love. You know the rules and so do I.
Never gonna give you up.
Engine is at low depth and takes a time to catch up. Hikaru's analysis almost perfect.
@@nabishirinli2450 dang it
For god sake, this is not chess crown, this is a Royal crown and Morphy was never been a Royal personality.
I haven’t played chess since elementary school chess club. But man, seeing it’s recent popularity it really makes me want to dust off the old chess board.
More Morphy game discussion please.
I was curious about the history of touch-move rule and it appears Luis Ramirez de Lucena gave the rule in his 1497 book Arte de Axdres, however the rule is said to have existed even before that as Chess was played for stakes.
Those familiar with famous mating patterns may recognize this player for Lucena Mate
Ultimate morphy saga
I am fascinated by chess history for some reason
Thanks bro
beastmode hikaru
and it was thus the bro stack was born
I think philidor should be considered a old GM that made great contributions without many help mor technology
Yeah double Rooks on the 2nd or 7th are very dangerous! Gg and useful commercial too! Never knew how bad showering in tap water was until I looked it up. Insane our society doesn't automatically prevent that! Thx.

Does anybody know what headphones is Hikaru using? And if it is a good buy or there is any other better option, I want it for gaming.
but if u put rock at f2 he take it with rock u take the bishob with his bishob to e3 then u will no longer have the rock to block the king plus u open up the other rock to king side

So far hikaru has tought chess, now it's time to teach blindfold chess.(Some tips)
Incredible video
Does anyone know the song starting at 5:19?

You just wanted to check the comments for "rook bros", but I've trapped you. I eat your bishop!
Plot twist:
Hikaru is actually Elizabeth Harmon. He takes his green pill every morning and sees possible moves on the ceiling.
keep studying your morphy games hikaru
Title : world champion
First 30sec : US Champion
Dear hikaru i want to see u play shogi
What makes Morphy unofficially the "first world champion," ahead of Adolf Anderssen, winner of the first international chess tournament of 1851? I mean, I get that he would later go on to lose to Morphy in 1858, but do those seven years not count for anything? More precisely, what criteria made you settle on Morphy over the dozen or so other "unofficial" champions listed on the world chess championship wikipedia page?
PAUL MORPHY WAS THE BEST
I think Hikaru likes Morphy
So what another Morphy Saga?
Did agadmator lose his job now?
Take backs ??? It was touch move
Is the intro/outro song copyrighted? I researched and it showed me a reddit post by the editor, who said it was just a demo. Yes/no?
naka, do you think you could beat him (paul Morphy) If you played on his years??

The book "On the Origin of Good Moves" by Willy Hendriks completely disproves the misconception that players of these time periods were just playing 1. e4 e5.

US championship != World championship, this is not American football. Though Morphy clearly was the best player of his time.
Unofficially, Agad is the only one allowed to make Paul Morphy vids ;)
