It's a far cry from the medieval knights on horseback. You wonder how they would have gone with modern composite materials, or if they would be robotic assisted suits - for quick avoidance reaction augmentation. and targeting. There has to be a compelling reason not to use projectiles. Possibly some religious reaction to projectile wars, or another greater empire forbidding them.. or electrical atmosphere that explodes past a certain velocity. Something. A race of automatics that lets the organics play only with mele weapons? Probably a really common thing in MANGA books. Not sure. I've only ever seen one - while I was waiting in a Japanese shop, They had a bunch of them for visitors.
@@mrwoodandmrtin Haha That’s the fun part with these type of figures/characters, you can imagine tons of things. I agree with you: I’ve seen actual medieval knight armour in museums and the detailing is nothing compared to those. The lack of breast plates and hip armour is baffling as you can’t be protected with just a suit, but that’s how it is with female characters in both comics and manga 😅 Just look at common examples like Wonderwan. I like your idea about religion and why they can’t use projectiles. We won’t know the exact reason and that’s the fun part. We can only assume she’s probably more effective with a lance vs a gun. My other theory is that they are enhanced humans, or maybe androids, thus the numbers on their uniform sort of being their production or unit number. 😁
@@studioaureal C'mon let's be real. In the future, don't you think a hot girl wearing a skintight outfit would have a higher survival chance VS wearing full plate armor that would let her be easily mistaken for a man? It's like in video games. How many times have you encountered a hot female villain and hesitated killing her and wondered if you could get her to join you instead? But if it was a male villain (or at least someone who you mistook for a male), you'd probably have no qualms about killing them immediately. The same is true in anime. Hot female villains have a very high survival rate and lots of times they end up joining the protagonist :)
@@archienov If I were in the future and at war and fighting for my life, I’d probably not notice if I’m fighting a guy or girl. Heck if I hesitate I’m probably dead. Look at that lance… if I’m not pierced by it I’d be bludgeoned to death 🤣😅 I agree it’s a logic that only exists in fiction and main characters have plot armor anyway lol so totally not complaining though and love the design😅😁
Excellent review, I'm really liking all figmas designed by neco. Already have from heavily armed high school girls ichi and shi and from FALSLANDER I have ronin and pre ordered samurai.
Hehe. Why am I not surprised you got this too? I noticed that you also like posing Lanze Reiter on a bike. Mine is currently riding the Figma EX Ride BK91A, with Ronin sitting behind her without her armor parts. If you don't have the BK91A, I would recommend it as it's also a neco design and it's a futuristic looking black motorcycle.
@@archienov Heyaaaa!! I found a BK19A on Ami-Ami, pre-owned and its coming with my PO for this month. 🙈🙈🙈 Quite expensive now I would say but I agree with you, it’s a must have for these kits. I’m 3 years late with Lanze Reiter but here we are 😆😆 I’ll make sure to pose them with that bike once it arrives
@@studioaureal Cool, it's awesome you were able to get the BK91A. I still wish there was a futuristic bike that had a sidecar. I've been looking for one for ages. The only one I can think of is the SH Figuarts Tiger & Bunny Double Chaser bike, but the colors are too bright and it has the names for the series' main characters on it. You mentioned that you're looking forward to the Falslander Samurai. I guess you have to get it since you're probably aiming to complete the Falslander collection. I didn't get Hemet Nethel so no pressure on me to complete the line hehe. I'm still undecided on getting Samurai, mainly because her face looks so similar to Lanze Reiter, it's almost like it is the same girl but in a different outfit. Maybe if I pretend they're twins, it will convince me haha.
@@archienov Yeah the colors are too loud, you’ll have to repaint it to work with FALSLANDER figma. Yeah I’ve decided long ago that I’m gonna get Samurai even before they announced it or released images of the prototype. I think Lanze Reiter and Samurai are complete opposites but also mirror images in a way that they’re both representations of medieval warriors but from the opposite parts of the world. Too bad Samurai doesn’t come with double joints tho. I’ve seen character designs for “Shinobi” but not sure if it’s neco.
