Fitting a Pulsar GTI-R short shifter to my K11 Nissan Micra.

- I saw online that the Nissan Pulsar GTI-R short shifter could be fitted to a K11 Micra so i thought i'd give it a go.
I didn't bother asking for advice on how to do it as i learnt my lesson the hard way doing that with the Corsa B coilovers so i tried to figure out myself instead.
Here's how i did it.

last thing I needed was a short shifter,but the video gives me a good insight of how things shift at a micra.tommorow a frind of mine comes over and does nt shift in first and second,i hope those nylon bushes are worn....anyway good video...../

Hello, did your short shifter do shaky iron noises, when you ride? Mine starts do noises around 2500rpm...
probably would have used some anti seize or grease on the moving bits but either way nice job
thx to your video i purchased the same shifter and it works like a charm! only thing is that the retainer clip just below the swan neck is just over the shifter and can move up and down, since it is not in some ridge where it can not move. is this suposed to be like that? i pulled the shifter up and shoved the clip down, but it does not click in place or anything
Nice mate I lengthened the bottom of the factory shifter and it’s the best thing I have ever done, seams to be a bit shorter than that to👌🏻
I need to learn how to weld properly so i can start making my own stuff too.

Hello Leadfoot tv, where do you suggest picking up aftermarket parts for the Micra. i just picked one up and I'm looking for potential upgrades and a go-to for maintenance.
The best 2 places are Gizfab and Humphries motorsport. You'll find everything you need there regarding chassis and engine modifictaions. Body mods are a little harder to find, you just have to look everywhete or make them yourself.
Hey anyone else with a n15 sss pulsar that got the cube pulsar short shifter kit as I got it and the bottom is to big to fit back through the mounting bracket

@@LeadFootash23 cars off the road for now serious progress being made need to make a update video but lack of time and not sure of the interest is there for the Micra

I don't know for definite but I would imagine so. If not it'd probably need very little modification

Is it possible to do this without removing the carpet? I've ordered the short shifter on ebay.

What is the name of the part do you need to drill out? I'd love to do this to my micra but I wanna try and find a replacement one incase I mess something up and have to go back to my stock shifter lmao
It's the gear linkage, you can't really mess it up though to be honest with you
How is it holding up tho u like it?
It got a bit rattly after a while but it always worked perfectly. The rattle never really bothered me as it was mainly a track car anyway and you could probably fix it with some rubber washers or something
Did you fit the circlip that you get to hold the two parts of the shifter together?
The circlip was already holding it all together when i got mine. If it's not attached then it's probably popped out during transit.
LeadFoot TV I mean like the one you get with the bag of bits like the bolts and stuff. It’s to hold the two parts together

@@axeljansson6496 it's off a MK3 Golf VR6, you can buy them brand new on ebay. It needs quite a lot of cutting but it works with the bumper really well
