Reason #1: sound // Reason #2: wireless - When you’re used to it, you can’t come back. The main two things to improve are : be able to select IR from a dedicated knob - select more than the 5 presets (without using the app). Then Yamaha will have the best desk amp platform - and this seems really easy to implement at hardware side. 😉
Hoping these features will be available on the next THR generation… 🙏🏻

I use Spark 40, Park mini and THR10II. Each have their pros and cons. I can say the same for electric guitars semi hollow vs jazz body vs Strat vs Les Paul or single coil vs P90 vs Humbucker pick up guitars. They all have their pros and cons, but you will own them depending on your mood or type of music or sound you want when you start playing.

I had to keep noodling endlessly with the Spark to get the sound I wanted and still wasn’t fully happy whereas with the Yamaha it was pretty instant and I played more than having to battle to adjust levels on the amp.

The AAs are 2800mAh, and they last years of constant use. A good charger like a LaCrosse is equally important to keep your batteries healthy. I’ve read tons of positives about Eneloops but only used a handful, and the EBL definitely had longer charge life.

When you see this I'm surpassed Boss simply didn't release their digital line with all the Sneaky amps enabled. Instead they give 3 levels of marshall style gain and two cleans, bright or fat in character. But having a Marshall followed by two versions of the same circuit in the 5150 and the SLO100 (heavily hot roded Marshall JCM800 circuits) makes them all sound like a somewhat gnarlier player over the version of the previous voice. It's a shame they couldn't incorporate a lot more of the Gt100 features. Put them in and the whole thing opens up a bunch of new doors.

The spark can do all of those things. Hook it to your pc and it works in tandem with the Bias FX 2 software for even more amp sims, also doubles as its own audio interface. And for the price… you really can’t beat the spark.
And they came out with a 140w powered cabinet compatible with the spark products for even more volume for Gigs/jams.
Pair that with the Airstep SPK for pedal control and your home jam session and on the go gig ready.

I'm a long term patient, and one of the most valuable things I ever learned as a patient, and I think this applies to just about all of life, is never to be afraid to ask what I was pretty sure would be stupid questions. Maybe 2/3 of the time they have been stupid questions, but there's that one out of three when I see that look of fascination in a doctor's eyes.
Really classy, first rate people respect people who ask questions.
Eisenhower used to insist on interviewing all State and Defense Departments potential appointees. He delighted in asking them about what Evan Thomas, in his book, "Ike's Bluff," called "almost absurd situations." If the candidate, however good his credentials, snickered, and said something like, "Oh, Mr President, you and I both know that almost certainly would never happen!" Eisenhower wouldn't have nearly as much interest in hiring him as he would a guy who might not have the paper credentials, but who was fascinated by Eisenhower's idea, thought it over, then gave an intelligent answer.
There's a lesson for life in that kind of thing.

I never tried both of them honestly. What you mentioned two inputs doesn’t make sense because you need 2 outputs in order to go in two inputs in an audio interface to record those wet & dry tracks.
As an Audio Enginneer and a guitar player since my childhood I’m really disappointed about those advices.
At the same time I know that, postive grid are made to practice and easy to use. Its confortable and easy to play. Plug & Play just need to use a phone or just use the footswitch which is made for.
Also I have a PRS 25th anniversary. However i will not use it as an rehearsal guitar. For that any other guitar manufacturer is good for. I also see that you have one in the back. Everything has a reason how and why it should be used. Considering as a rehearsal pratice at home, the positive grid wins.
