Song made 50 years ago. They had real TV then. The music can't be matched. Them 70s were the greatest. They made crap music 2023. That TV show had plenty greats and plenty music to rock with. Great Oldies. You'll young folks will never see this great music made again
I was about 7 or 8, grew watching the Partridge Family, had the records, couldn't take my eyes off of David or his beauty. I would come home from 2nd/3rd grade, put their album on and even though I had blue eyes, I'd pretend they were brown and he was singing to me. Our era really had the talent in music and lookers. I think "Rainmaker" was my personal favorite though.
David even with a terrible family life poured his heart and soul into every song..Misunderstood by many a great man who poured his heart out into every song♥️
Sweet David appreciated his fans and made us happy in every possible way until the day he passed Nov. 21, 2017. He loved us so much as we loved him. 💋♥️🦋
I don't think I ever missed the TV show just because of David.. He was my first crush! But his heart was captured by his voice and of course, his looks made me love him even more... I remember listening to him sing on the radio mesmerized by ever word along with that voice that made me love him more... Even though my eyes are green, I still loved this song so much. He sang it with so much passion, I pretend he was singing to me. R.I.P. David Cassidy!! I hope to meet your soul in Heaven! Love Always!
I absolutely love this song David's heart gose into every song he writes I feel it all the time. David is one insperational man. And his vioce is so memorizing to me Love you David💞.
I absolutely adore this song. David's voice is velvety and it touches my heart!! He's really gorgeous here and I feel he's singing it right to me, as I have brown eyes!!! A million thanks for posting this gem!!!!
I wasn't born until 1973, but part of me likes to think he could've sang this song for me. I know he had his flaws & demons, but from what I've read & seen, he was a good man who cared about people & enjoyed making them happy. I'm just sorry he couldn't find that happiness for himself. I pray his soul & spirit are at peace.
I'm guessing when the show's creators decided to include "practice session" scenes, there was also a decision to have them mostly feature perfect play-throughs using the studio recordings, since the normal stop-and-start of a band rehearsal wouldn't fit well into the 1/2 hour format, or play into the dream-band fantasy.
🤩🤩🤩 thank you so so so much. Searched for it all the time. It was there before but someone defaced it. He is so beautiful and his voice is mesmerizing 😵💫🤩🙏💕
I think DC was a very sensitive soul, a handsome young man and cast quickly not only in the tv series but into the limelight. Success has its downside, his Father’s disdain for his son’s success was obvious. David became everything, an actor, singer/celebrity-and was despised for his success. Jack Cassidy received a Tony and an Emmy. He received classical acting experience on broadway, and eventually on bit parts on TV. Meanwhile, DC reached the height in celebrity, money and fame. Jack soaked his brain in alcohol and jealousy. Bitter to the end in ‘76. It’s quite sad, the downward decent of this pop star. I was a young kid back in the day, a boy that had a crush on me gifted me this album and dedicated “brown eyes” to me. Now, I am 63, such sweet memories. Very nice, smooth and heartfelt song.
Does this song sound like bubblegum??? The PF have had a bad rap over the years, primarily because David Cassidy was a teen idol. So everyone just put their music in the bubblegum category because of that. But if anyone would listen to their music with an open mind, they’d be surprised how good it is-and how much of it (like this song) wasn’t bubblegum at all. Kudos also go to the background singers-four adults that had to sing like kids. They achieved this, while at the same time, not losing their sound. NOT an easy thing to do!!! Plus kudos also go to The Wrecking Crew, the unsung heroes of 60s and 70s music. If you haven’t seen the excellent documentary about them, go check it out. You’ll be amazed at how many hits of that time period were played by them!!!
Has to be the most beautiful song about Brown eyes I have heated in my life.
David was a tremendous singer & performer !

He sang this to me on the piano in Richmond Virginia while he was doing Blood Brothers. I’ll never get over it. Ever!
What a great memory for you!! I have one too from Disney World, when he visited with Davy Jones. he was an absolute sweetheart
That is a blessing. He actually sang this to you. I would have been over the moon. Especially with my brown eyes.
Great song

Definitely one of the greatest and underrated singers and voice of all time

What I loved about this song here, is what feels like a full-blown performance is really a practice session in their garage.

what a sexy voice!!!

Yes, I had this album...

Any normal father would have been proud of his son's success.
Such feel good music this is.
😍😍😍I LOVE The Partridge Family❣️
(Mad child crush on David and wanted my eyes to be brown!! 😂😂)
Have a LOVELY evening, everyone 🌹✨🌹
Top 5 PF song
