As a college ASL student, I love watching hearing kids interact with their Deaf parents. Have your kids taken an ASL class or have you taught them ASL yourself?
They taught them since baby. I am deaf mom and I have two girls and I do sign to them all the time. :)

I find it so funny that none of the kids has any idea about tip toeing or sneaking about. LOL They even slam the doors. hahahahaha
My mom used to work at the Maryland School for the Deaf. She used to bring me so i picked up a lot, but at 50 I have lost a lot. I went when i was 5 & 6. I tried to recover it in highschool, but there were too many other distractions. Still, I find that when i can't hear or understand someone I always switch to asl. Which usually does not make it better, unfortunately. Love watching you all together. ❤ It makes my heart sing.

Don't take me otherwise. I'm just curious. if deaf people don't study sign language, can they still speak sign language ?
You either learn it in class or are taught it by family. You don't just wake up one day with all the sign language knowledge downloaded into your brain.

more then likely they where taught it around probably as young 6 months.
