Ngl, the mum was being restricting without giving a valid reason. I’m a child as well and yes mum doesn’t let me do some things I really want to do but she doesn’t just drop a no and move on. Instead, she explains why she has denied me permission to do something with my mates, for example she raises her concerns about how it’s unsafe out there especially for teenage girls my age at that time or she tells me how she doesn’t want sleepovers to be frequent cause she’d love to spend some time with her daughter as well
Exactly! I don't like parents who say no without giving any reason why. They have to so the child can learn why it's wrong.
I'd like to think why the mom doesnt really explain things and give valid reason is because she's her parent, parents already feel like they have authority over you since they birthed you.
