I would highly recommend having an extensive conversation with a psychiatrist or doctor about lithium or other mood stabilizers before going on lithium. There are so many options for mood stabilizers before lithium. It is not the gentler option. Not sure what your diagnosis is, but you can find other alternatives that would likely get you the results you want.
Yeah lithium may be discussed in cases of manic/schizophrenic symptoms, or if u have exhausted other depression medications. It is not a first line therapy for anxiety and depression, while ssris like lexapro are first line.
I have bipolar 2 and have been on multiple mood stabilizers until I found the right one for me. I take it on top of an antidepressant. You need a good doctor who you can see regularly during the process to discuss the process as everyone reacts differently to the meds. What’s right for one person isn’t right for someone else.

LISA, I love your openness to medication. I have Bipolar, and Lamotragine is working the best for me. It's also a mood stabilizer. Lithium has quiet a lot of sideeffects. Just a tip.
i've really try and watch so many podcast this seems to be the only one i can listen the whole way through, feels like im apart of the convo, as a mother, and 28 year old woman with no friends this really helps me and gives me something to look forward to at the end of the week.
While I'm happy for Rae and wish her a great time on Twitch, I also feel sad because it will probably be the end of an era for me. UA-cam was far more convenient for watching at work, etc., but I do respect her doing what's best for her. I do hope that she will consider multi-streaming in the future, considering she has a big fan base on here, but I respect her decision no matter what. as someone with bipolar type 1 -- lithium is crazy harsh on your kidneys. I turned it down and went on a new medication Latuda instead and it's helped wonders. Definitely talk to your doctor about all the options

Lisa I adore you and love that you’re thinking of trying meds! It’s a big step for your mental health! I had amazing success with my severe OCD and anxiety on an ssri called Fluvoxamine (not fluoxetine!) definitely advocate for yourself with your doc! Proud of you ❤

this podcast dynamic is nice because rae and lisa are in two different industries and have knowledge on different things so its nice when they explain things to each other. the dynamic is also really mature and intellectual as opposed to other podcasts from other people in the industry which are either really sexualised or the people running it just dont listen to each other.

I’m happy for Rae’s decision to move back to twitch. Watching Rae’s streams and seeing how she has to deal with troll/hate accts and not having much moderation tools to handle it, at least twitch you can see if they’re ban evasion accts or their chat history.
I'm someone who watched Rae's growth on Twitch and honestly.. it's really exciting for me that she's returning. As corny as it sounds, I've been mourning the loss of her Twitch community for the last 5 years. I know that things are significantly different now, but this makes me really hopeful to be able to comfortably be a part of her community again!

I’ve noticed the best for me is when Twitch streamers also post to UA-cam after. That way I can watch at my own pace if I miss the stream. If you have Gab Smolders (Jacksepticeye’s gf) on, she could probably give advice and she studied Japanese in Japan! Would be great. Also, as a person with BPD/OCD/autism/depression and anxiety, etc. who has been on Mood stabilizers then they were taken away, it helps SO much just to be stabilized at the beginning of the day.
It's a shame she won't multi stream. From a viewer's perspective, the economy is so bad and affording subscriptions is no longer viable for us with children. The ads on Twitch are constant and freeze the phone app. It's honestly not the streamers responsibility to care about the barriers the viewers have. I get that they move to Twitch because they make more money there and that's fair. All good things must eventually come to an end. Hope the best for Rae, it was fun to be part of the community.

omg i live in a city in the amazon forest, if you come here in right now is the hot season, from may-july it´s the ¨ colder¨ season around 79-ish degree, and the rest is warm, sunshine, or hella hot melting, u gotta pick ur season. My cousin´s family came here to do some excursion tours in the forest, and we went at night to see a few buys, mostly some spiders, and lizards, the monkey sanctuary island, meeting some indigenous tribes and if u like fishing i would inquire tour agencies if they have fishing activities in their schedule, a 2 or 3 day tour is the best imo.
Rae, I was the same about ADHD meds but I got a DR who started me on a very low dose and went up in small increments and Im not a zombie or shell of myself but im also a little calmer, more organized and everything feels less like a constant crisis.

omg i live in a city in the amazon forest, if you come here in right now is the hot season, from may-july it´s the ¨ colder¨ season around 79-ish degree, and the rest is warm, sunshine, or hella hot melting, u gotta pick ur season. My cousin´s family came here to do some excursion tours in the forest, and we went at night to see a few buys, mostly some spiders, and lizards, the monkey sanctuary island, meeting some indigenous tribes and if u like fishing i would inquire tour agencies if they have fishing activities in their schedule, a 2 or 3 day tour is the best imo.
Rae, I was the same about ADHD meds but I got a DR who started me on a very low dose and went up in small increments and Im not a zombie or shell of myself but im also a little calmer, more organized and everything feels less like a constant crisis.

I love watching this podcast, I watch about 5 or 6 other podcasts that are longer standing and this one is just as good despite being newer and definitely has moments where it’s better! You’re both too hard on yourself but it’s my favourite part of Sundays and I’m always looking forward to a new episode!❤🎉

This was a great video. I didn't know Rae was so insightful and relatable, some streamers come off as one dimensional. But Rae comes across as really smart here (which she is). She does her research and thinks a lot before making a decision, it's super relatable
