UPPAbaby Vista 2017 Stroller Review

Lindsey looks at what's new for the 2017 Uppababy Vista.
Features 4 new colors: Austin Hunter Green, Henry Blue Marl, Dennison Burgundy, Loic White. New genuine leather handlebar/bumper bar covers on Austin, Hunter and Loic. Full grain cow hide. REACH certified. No chemicals used in tanning process. Hand stitched onto stroller. Will get darker and softer over time.
Leather covers will also be available separately for other colors and older models. All new sunshade material. New woven fabric, won't wrinkle as much, still same 50 spf. Stroller is 1.5 lbs lighter, achieved through redesigned wheels, which are now solid PolyUrethane rather than AirGo rubber. Frame is 1" narrower at the rear wheels by closing the gap between the wheel and the frame. New wheels are backwards compatible with older models. Sunshade now has locks when you slide it up and down to keep it in place a little better. Upgraded bassinet boot zipper.

Definitely a beautiful-looking stroller. We've 'test-run' them in store, and they ride very smoothly. One question, though. It looks like the bassinet can only be in the front, lower position - that is, further away from the parent, if using as a double stroller (with toddler and infant). Is that correct?

There is no way to use a bassinet on top with a rumbleseat on the bottom.

@@Pishposhbaby Thanks for your response! That's a shame. I was hoping that with the rumbleseat, it might be possible (given that the rumbleseat is a little smaller than the toddler seat that comes with the stroller). Ah, well.

When using the bassinet and toddler seat can the toddler seat be facing forward? Not facing parent or behind bassinet but facing out?

Hi there, Rhina! The toddler seat on the Vista cannot be forward facing when used with the bassinet. (It would mean the toddler's feet would be in the bassinet! 😬) Have a great day!

I will use this stroller for a toddler and newborn. Will I have to purchase a separate rumple seat? Or can I use the seat and bassinet that comes with it together? I hope my question is not confusing.. 😩

You can use both - the seat would go on top and the bassinet would go at the bottom. However, in order to use both at the same time, you'll have to get the upper and lower adapters. You can find them on our site here:

Does the bassinet really makes sense since the stroller can go back all the way anyways?

The Vista bassinet is approved for overnight use, which makes it more like a crib than the toddler seat. While the toddler seat does have a deep recline, it's not truly flat like the bassinet.

Not worth it. $ 1,000 for a stroller. The other ones work just as great! Please look into other ones parents before you waste the money.

We definitely agree that $1,000 is a lot of money for a stroller. However - if you can make room in your budget for a good stroller, you'd be a lot happier with investing a bit more into a high-quality stroller now, then go through five strollers for just 2 children. Parents everywhere are thrilled with their Vista's, especially because it can grow with their families.
