This is not only the coolest theme ever done on a Mario, but the whole game itself is probably the most unique game I've ever played. The whole game is really a work of art.
@@jakeblancaster8498 But not really, Doki Doki Panic itself started off *as* a Mario game. If anything it just took a detour during development before working back round again.
And even though this is a reskinned doki doki panic, so many things from this game became staples of the Mario franchise. Bob-ombs, Pokeys, Shy guys all came from this. So to me it's more than worthy of being part of the franchise. Without it Mario games would be quite different.
@@SamsarasArt During this era, many famous franchises went off the deep end with their sequels, like Castlevania 2 and Zelda 2, but it seems SMB2 was a happy accident that became its own thing. No other Mario game is like it!
h brook, Super Mario Bros. Was such a hit that Nintendo needed to make a sequel quickly. So they took Doki Doki panic and re-skinned it to look more like a Mario game.
@@johnnyyeeterson2934 Lol Yes, it's backbone is Doki Doki Panic but it's still a Mario game. A licensed Mario game. It also introduced new characters and abilities (e.g. Princess floating) and cemented visuals (such as Luigi being taller) that have been carried along in Mario games into the future. So it qualifies. That being said, I loved Doki Doki Panic and I was extremely glad we got a taste of it in the USA....albeit not as difficult lol.
Can someone please tell me which Mario Bros had the underground music that is a slower more drawn out underground music with the twangy electric guitar sound.

Too bad its nothing more than a 2nd rate imitation.

The best Underground theme in a Mario Game
Power Check 2, Mario bros. 2 is a re-skin of doki doki panic.

Best 10 seconds of music of all time
This for some reason gives me an eerie feeling if I play it at night
hi air detected!

Well said St. Anger! My favorite of the trilogy...thanks
You're welcome.
This is the best version imo better than the SNES and GBA version. This one actually sounds intimidating.
Super Mario Bros. 2 - NES
Release date: October 9, 1988 (32 years)
Also known as Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic for the Famicom Disk Drive released in 1987.
My Christmas gift from big sis that year

Now this is 8-bit rock. 🍒
It’s Arabian.....
I prefer the "prototype version" of this theme, even though this sounds really good
Nah prototype version sounds wrong and it’s just the Mario 1 one, originality over remix any day
This feels diabolical
Thank you for finding the moon. But I wish you hadn't.
This is honestly better than all stars
Disappoints me when people say they prefer the prototype underground theme over this.
I agree, the prototype smb2 underground theme is smb1 underground theme with extra instruments that don't fit the type of level

BEST UNDERWORLD THEME!!!
This Is My Jam man
Sure, 1 and 3 hit pretty hard, but this one punched my teeth out but payed for my medical bills.
Banger🔥
I think the good thing on this game is that u don't need to hold the run to also hold an object, unlike on other 2d Mario platformers.
But I always play holding the run even if I don't have any object
@@GreatGonzalez I meant that holding and running is on 1 button like on SMW and SMB3. This game has those 2 mechanics separated on 2 buttons.
@@ArjunTheRageGuyWhy didin't they use this mechanic in the 1st super mario bros. game?
@@isaacmendoza7812 was there even a grab mechanic in that game, cuz I don't remember it having that at all?
Cool music
Maybe this is not complete without the sound of Phanto coming to life when you pick up the Key.
This is some music I got to say
Can someone please tell me which Mario Bros had the underground music that is a slower more drawn out underground music with the twangy electric guitar sound.
This song has only ever sounded right in 8-bit to me
Best👍

this isn't a Mario game, it was reskinned to be,
Originally this game has no relationship with mario.
The SNES versión Is the best
It sounds like the teacher would call the intonation "interesting"
1.25x to Doki Doki Panic version
Guys, Girls, etc: Help. I can’t NOT hear “Dogs” by Pink Floyd in this track.
Why does this theme sound like Super Mario 64 Bowser’s theme
Injustamente ignorado tema.
Hmmm no offense but snes version is better than this one😂😂😂
Most boring underground tune in a mario game ever, nintendo should,ve used that underground tune from the demo version of SMB2 instead.
but it's original therefore it is better!1!!1!1one!1!1!1!!1!
