Love Irish people. They are so warm and lovely. What a brave brave man. He describes that darkness perfectly and it’s so good for men to speak about their depression. Medication can get you out of that deep hole and allow you room to breathe. You don’t have to stay on pills forever. Sometimes there is no reason why that dark cloud comes into your life, it is just bad luck. Like Gareth said, you’re not alone.

I go through fairly severe bouts of anxiety every so often. I work on it everyday and yet sometimes it just gets the better of you. Watching these videos really helps, so thankyou!

Gareth says around minute 10.30 that he was afraid to stop working cause it might swallow him completely and kill him.
    He was probably right.
i know this from personal experience.

the lady describes depression as finding life harder than the average person.
that's a correct way to put it.

It's a pity you didn't run the whole interview or at least make it available somewhere else.

Whoever she is she needs to learn the not so subtle difference between interrogation and interview technique.

I really thought she did a good job on this. I barely notice her.
but totally respect that it didn't with for you.
it just shows how differently we often interpret things.

brave man- but not relating his sex abuse to his depression is what keeps it going in my opinion. just my opinion.
