    I think it is most telling that after my father and step-mother moved from Vancouver WA to Emmett ID and returned to the area a couple years later (yes, they were fleeing Idaho traditional/conservative culture - no joke), they decided to settle in Ridgefield. They had lived the majority of their lives (40-50 years) in NW Vancouver, McGloughlin Heights and Hazel Dell.

    Hello Hannity Devine, just spent half a day in Vancouver. Got nothing done. (I’ll tell you how you got that name when we finally meet some day. That address “is my office”. My Hen hangs out a lot, I guess “she has become my business partner”. The dogs are friendly, “and they are honest”. One bit me yesterday.
    You “are so right about Vancouver”. Maybe a different video than this one.
    It really started getting on my nerves, politics “could fix a lot of that”. I worked with “The Higgins Family”, out here. The old man (Ron) and I spent some time, at least twenty five years, building things. They are “great people”, all of them. His kids were about knee high. Ron, is my preacher, and he helped me “a lot”. He taught me to “cuss less”, and to teach my kids to “take care of themselves”, and that became “my goal in life”. Later Dude!

      Hi Don, thanks for commenting on so many of my videos, I can tell you are passionate about this subject. Just to be clear, I work with all types of homebuyer clients from first time entry-level homes to luxury homes. I am very sorry prices are not what they used to be, but that is how the real estate market works. Have a great day.

    Very informative video! What are your thoughts on the waterfront area? Is it relatively safe?

    • @LivingInVancouverCamasWash
      @LivingInVancouverCamasWash  2 роки тому +2

      Vancouver Waterfront is very safe in my opinion! The only homes for purchase down there are condos, all of which are highly secured by door locks and locked garages.

      @@jb-cp4ye Thanks for commenting. No city will ever have zero crime or zero homeless, it's just not possible, but I still stand by what I said. The area by Beaches and what is considered by most as "The Vancouver Waterfront" (aka the new development) are two different areas to most people.

    This is a great video, thank you! But the one thing im always left wondering after I watch similar videos about Vancouver, WA is, what is health care like? I am always wondering how the health care is in Wa? If you could please drop an explanation on health care, thank you!

    • @SERVISONE

      I'm not sure exactly what information you're looking for regarding healthcare and I don't have much to compare it to since I've lived in WA my whole life. Can you specify?

    • @SERVISONE

      @@LivingInVancouverCamasWash I live in Los Angeles, CA. We have health care access but by no means is it great. Considering how expensive its becoming to survive in my home state, I have considered moving out and away. For me, one important criteria to consider in picking a new state would be access and affordability to health care among other things! For example I have also considered moving to Minnesota because they have great health care system. However me personally I would like to be closer to CA. Other things to consider in moving to a new location are: is it cannabis friendly, do they have great beer culture and awesome friendly people, how is the disc golf scene? Coffee LOL. Obviously the cost of living. The PNW seems to fit the bill for me honestly but after watching so many videos about why or why not move to Vancouver, Wa, I have been left wondering how access to health care is. I have always been infatuated with the PNW like Oregon and Seattle area but Vancouver seems like a great spot right in the middle I guess! Any general info on health care affordability and access would be great. Thank you for the response back as well!

    • @LivingInVancouverCamasWash
      @LivingInVancouverCamasWash  2 роки тому +2

      It's definitely outside of my professional scope to judge our healthcare, but I think it's decent. I'm not wowed by it but also not disappointed. It's really going to depend on what your employer offers which could be...anything! Cannabis friendly - relatively. It's more accepted on the OR side. Beer culture - yes, lots of breweries here. Disc golf - I don't know, but I know there are some courses nearby. The coffee is great, lots of local shops. :)

    My spouse and I are planning making the move from Florida to Vancouver. He grew up in Tacoma and I unfortunately a Floridian. I have been a bartender most of my life and recently got my real estate license here in Florida. How is the job market for bartenders and Real Estate agents in Vancouver?

    • @LivingInVancouverCamasWash
      @LivingInVancouverCamasWash  Рік тому

      Hi Blair, congrats on the move! Well unfortunately that is a very specific question and I've never been a bartender in my life 🤣 so I probably not the best person to ask! However we do have a lot of great bars and restaurants so I anticipate you would find lots of openings, and even more if you considered the Portland side.

    • @LivingInVancouverCamasWash
      @LivingInVancouverCamasWash  Рік тому

      And for Real Estate Agents (I am one) I wouldn't consider there to be a "job market" since a traditional realtor is 100% self employed. You get out of it what you put into it! The top 25% of agents here do about 75% of the business and the rest are stragglers not doing much.

    I am wondering where I should look for a beautiful large house with lots of land, a more rural area, OK, but with a nice community. Asking where I could find gold I guess. Any leads? Thanks

      There are a handful of neighborhoods in the rural areas that have 1-5 acres in a gated community. They will pretty much all be on Well and Septic. Feel free to email me for more specifics! hannah@dubynerealtygroup.com
