    Currently play the Apex 21 hybrid and this thing is amazing! Anything from 200-220 yards finds fairways and greens, and they are super straight shots when in flight! Great club that Callaway has made!

    Great video guys. Thanks. I took your advice and tried out the st max os. Hands down the best results I have ever gotten from a hybrid. Feel at impact is addicting. Such a great fit for an every other weekend warrior like myself that I have put a 4, 6, 7, 8 in my bag. My fun factor has increased and scores have improved.

    I think it's time to revisit the Callaway Hybrid Comparison with their latest hybrids and/or a comparison between the Epic Super Hybrid and the Paradym Super Hybrid

    I love the mmt shaft which I also have in my irons - Pxg gen 3s- and have the super hybrid with the Aerotech shaft too and love it. Also have the consistent and better distances tighter dispersion -compared to my previous Pxg proto x (with mmt) and ts2. Intersting that you did not include the callaway uw hybrid into the mix. Have been concerned with many hybrids having too much offset for my liking.

    Great comparison. The Rogue Pro Hy is a monster, heck even the UW is an awesome option!

    Congratulations...this is the first review ...out of many ...where the Apex 21 Pro spin more than the standard model. (?) You also prefered the smaller head of the 21 Pro ...but before you even hit it ...fell in love with the Superhybrid, which is even bigger! (Is that because the Superhybrid is ...newer?) I've seen enough.

    7-wood is the answer. We have nearly exactly the same swing speeds and forward handle delivery - and it looks like handicap and shot-shape. I've experimented tonnes in this area with different clubs - and I own the Super Hybrid 3 that I swap in and out with a wedge as a driving iron. I stop at 24-degree 5-iron, then into a GapR Hi 4, that I play open and delofted at 21 degrees with a Steelfiber i110 shaft, but then the dilemma begins. I find the only way to hit that peak height number at 100 feet is a seven wood or a five wood with a shorter shaft. I'm on the verge of ordering a Taylormade Stealth Seven wood with an x-stiff shaft or the Stealthplus five wood half-inch short

    How do you like the MMT 105s? Thinking about ordering one to see if they can hang with my Aerotech FC115s.

    Like the video, but production is important. Having a tester with dry mouth is hard to watch. Also having bullets in the timeline indicating what club was hit/when. Thanks for the video.

    Working thru the bag with a 4h (20deg) right now that's carrying 215 and looking for the equivalent of a driving iron that I gamed in younger years....
    Very weird results to see that 18 degree not be able to out distance the higher lofted clubs. Almost makes no sense to me with the lower spin... is the delivery just too steep that it doesn't fit him?

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  Рік тому

      It could had just been a club that Danny didn't get a long with. I know with Danny he typically needs more loft on his clubs and plays higher lofted fairways in his bag. - Thomas

      @@2ndswing thanks for the response. Very helpful with that context because the flight really did scream "driving iron on a windy day"

    Hi, great video as usual, thank you! Is there any reason plse why you haven't included the APEX UW 21 degrees in this test? Yes, it's a UW, but is essentially a large hybrid in the grand scheme of things!
    Would you expect the APEX UW to go further btw?
    Many thanks
    Andrew

    • @jacobmccain8082
      @jacobmccain8082 2 роки тому

      UW is (generally speaking) pretty low spin compared to the hybrids. May be a touch longer due to that but you'd give up equal stopping power on the greens. From my experience the UW ball speed is very close to a similar hybrid.

      Cheers, although pretty sure there is a video knocking round which shows the APEX UW destroying the equivalent lofted Epic Super Hybrid!? On this channel actually about a month ago..
      I'm receiving my 21 degree UW tomorrow, so can report back how it compares to my Ping G425 4 hybrid!?
      To be fair, I'll be using this I feel predominantly off the tee, and those hopeful 2nd shots into long Par 4s and 5s..

    Guys, do the apex sole weights fit the Epic Super hybrid. I'm in the UK looking for a 14g, and I think they're compatible, but not sure?

      @@2ndswing Thank you for the reply Thomas! You're the man! My Club Head Speed is around 85 mph and I want to hit the club around 170 yards. I need to get it up in the air and have stopping power on the greens for par 3 courses. Thank you.

    Good video. The Rogue ST Pro is the one that really stands out to me as a winner this year, though. Love the more rounded shape of the Rogue ST Pro and the Apex UW vs. the higher toe look of all the others.

    I get the sense that most hybrids today are very draw biased, which is a pity. Would love to see a comparison of the more neutral biased hybrids.

    interesting that now there are woods made partly of metal many call them metal. But many woods are mostly carbon but none of the "metalheads" are calling them carbons????. What about irons? they haven't been made of iron since the 1920s but the metal heads don't call them steels or tungstens??? Taylor has come out with a carbon face and crown yet the metal heads are still calling them metals cuz there is still a little titanium left in them. Why not for the sake of tradition call woods woods and irons irons. HMM why are wedges still called wedges I've never seen a wedge shaped wedge.
