First - that tone is unbelievable. Haven't heard any 00 on UA-cam recorded or played this well. It sounds so sweet and intimate ... but also forward and assertive when it needs to be. Perfectly balanced with loads of bottom end and clarity on top. Kudos to Cameron on showcasing the magic of these little guitars. Also ... it's amazing that both of his 00-18s are 50 serial numbers apart. One acquired from a forum, another from a relative. They could have left the factory on the same truck.
Beautiful playing on a beautiful instrument! 1950's Martins are fantastic values because they're so well built and broken in. Very balanced, rich lows and sparkling highs.
A great interview always learn something and Cameron was passionate and considered in his comments, then plays and becomes part of the instrument , all l can say is lucky students
Simply outstanding.. Satisfying to hear someone his age with reverence for the greats. Thanks for a fine video. My first guitar was a 1939 Martin 00-17 purchased in 1961..several dozen guitars later I have a 2015 Martin 00-18 V with flamed mahogany backs and sides. A joy to play.

Love this version of Cumberland Gap
Long live Riley Puckett!
That guitar is so clear. Overtones. Must be Sitka braced.
Can someone please tell me what the second song he plays after the interview is?
