This is a wonderful way to experience Ceol-Mor - the way it is sung - whether you can play it on the pipes or cannot - MacCrimmon will never return - but we can sing and play the music - you don't need a great voice to do this, many Pipers can't sing - that's why they learn to play the pipes. We sing it in our heads all the time.👍
I've watched this video about a billion times already and marked it as a favorite. I'm not a piper but I'm a beginner at Scottish Gaelic, and one of the things that drew me to the language, besides my Scottish ancestry, was the rich treasury of music and song found in Gaelic. With this little taste of canntaireachd and piobaireachd, I feel as if I've been let in on a wonderful secret or discovered a wonderful treasure. Mòran taing! (Many thanks!)
Stunning… a wonder performance! Like another viewer… this week I started to learn this tune for competition this summer… now I’d like to sing it and help e we itch my phrasing… your video was spot on! Question - would you provide a link so I could print out the “scale” and the 1 page “song sheet”… as a guide?
Beautiful. More of this please. (& my granddaughters love singing this with me, so ...)
This is awesome, thanks for posting. My daughter is running around the house going “Hinnnnnnnnnnn” now. 😊

It’s nice to see some Canntaireachd used live.
Many thanks.
