Man, Kirk is really tight with his solos nowadays. Still remember the era where he would fuck up every single solo he'd play. It's good to hear him in such good form!
Yeah, on the current tour, Kirk and James are close to the top of their game, which makes Lars' sloppiness all the more tragic, he really holds them back.
@@lclccl Da fock is this people talking about though? Lars has played tight from a good while now, since the last album recordings started, Metallica has gave some of their best concerts in decades while touring this last three years.
I can only imagine how it would have sounded if Michael Kamen were still alive. How different the orchestra would sound... I noticed a lot of the songs performed at the first S&M concerts had not strayed far from the music sheets MK wrote.
As a life long Metallica that loved St. Anger and Lulu, hearing was such a joy to me on a very personal level that will never be able to be explained in words.
Duke Silver totally agree with you about James.. I’m not talking about frontmen, I’m talking about how tight they are as a band live. Both bands blow Metallica out of the water in tightness and keeping their musical chops fresh.. ESPECIALLY THE DRUMMERS...
Duke Silver Kirk and Lars sound like they don’t even practice anymore.. and they need it. Especially Lars. All musicians must practice to stay tight. Lars sounds like he doesn’t even know how to use a double kick pedal anymore.
@@gregsmith1792 Honestly, bitching about people making jokes that aren't valid anymore is a solid point too, i mean, yeah Lars sucked circa 2010-2013... But common now

ElitsidanElitTV they’ve been hounded to play fixxxer for long enough this was the perfect time to debut it. Lars mentioned they were going to use this as an opportunity to experiment in an interview.... yeah sure
@@GeorgeDemin Well they can do whatever they want of course but its pretty much the same as S&M 1. For example, Think what Orion or Fade To Black could sound like with beautiful orchestra. I guess we will never know.
@Pierre-Yves Blanchard Weird, how the hell can not Beautiful Fade work with orchestra? The beginning would make one of the best Symphony songs. I listen to S&M versions of Sandman and Roam and Memory just to pick a few. And I dont see how those are "working" at all with orchestra. But again, they choose and we get to listen to whatever is released.
Seems like it lacka thw intimate theatre vibe fromthe first. This is a giant arena. The band with the orchestra around them. Last time they were all blended togeather.
The setlist is pretty boring. They should have done Fade to Black and Sanitarium, ORION! and the first unforgiven. Oh well I'll wait till the bluray. I have to be honest, I am a great fan of Metallica, but I do prefer the old set up of S&M, more simple setting where the orchestra all right behind and you can hear drum, guitars , and bass clearer..I feel like it is too everwhere and too messy of a setup that I can't really hear the band. I am not going to blame James for his vocal, there are a few songs that do not sound that tight, and some where they were on point. @really sore knee , I'm a fan and want Metallica to do great things. But to do another symphonic concert doesn't bring anything new. More than half of the setlist is identical to the 1999 concerts. If he would just stop all those unnecessary random fills, he could become close to what he once was. Calling me a bitch shouldn't be necessary. JanickGers0 lol... you call the nand metallica without Lars? Not the Metallica for me.
DAMN the orchestra went extremely well with that song!!! That was a kick ass performance
Right? Sounds like judgement day is coming
One of my favorite songs off Death Magnetic, I'm very happy they chose this one to play and get the S&M treatment.
Metallica should make an album with Orchestra in studio...
Nothing Else Matters has Orchestra on the studio version
Etiti Yulolo S&M3?
The best song of the S&M2
always knew this song could work very fckin well with orchestra
I was really hoping to hear this one. It sounds amazing

I'm flying out from Honolulu, Hawaii tomorrow...to go to the 2nd show on Sunday!!! Glad they'll be playing this one!!!!
Are they playing same songs on tomorrow as today's.
AtheistZ yes! They will be
I’ll be there again for night 2 as well! Have a great time my friend!!
I'm going tomorrow night also! From Northern California
It will be well worth your time. I flew over from Texas for the first show.
Just saw this in theaters - it sounded amazing and can’t wait for the album to be released!
I LOVE this man
Love THAT Voice!
JAMES SOUNDS SO GOOD. .......yeah
Couldn't take my eyes of the conductor!! Wow!
That ending is the definition of EPIC!!!!
This performance is my favorite of this song. Epic is the only word I can think of to use.
Goosebumps. The same exact feeling 20 years ago. 🤘🏼

LOVE. THIS. SONG. I can not wait to see the full version!
Just saw this in the theater last night. What a show!
There is something really beautiful with all this.
Really glad they played death magnetic tunes!!!
Can we appreciate how Kirk just nailed that solo WITH A FUCKING ORCHESTRA PLAYING!!!!!!
Yessss! Lol
One thing that i really like on S&M2 compared to S&M is that James voice doesnt sound so boring on heavier songs
I hope they don’t autotune too much (or flat out re-record at one point) his vocals on this release like they did with S&M
After the rehab on st anger . he came a new man with a fresh attitude to approve his singing
one of their greatest hit
think i'll save this for the theatre....
I too will be waiting for an official release of any kind

Tremenda sacada

@Duke Silver have you heard Slayer lately? Megadeth? They're just as tight as they were back then. They're (Metallica)lazy.
