We’ll done Sir 🙏🏼 The highest accolades to you. Thank you. As a kid I was into Led Zeppelin, etc… then in my late teens early 20s I heard T-bone. Blew my head off my shoulders. Thank you for getting me closer to that. Blessings to you and yours. Good health, prosperity, joy to you in 2022. Thank you
Such a good lesson. Thank you so much.
Im using a couple of TBones chords now..He was one of my favorites from out of the past..Cool unique chords he played for sure..Thank you brother for bringing it..Great video..Keep em' coming....
Eric this was awesome man, well done on explaining the augmented and minor resolutions in T-Bones’ masterpieces - Keep it up!
T bone was the man! And so are you ! Thank you so much. Best lesson on T bone I have ever seen!
Best teaching on T-Bone I’ve seen so far. Nice jamming. Good for you thaks.
I really needed this lesson. Thank goodness I found your channel! Cheers
The best T-Bone technique video Ive seen so far! Excellent!!!!
Pretty informative video, Thanks for sharing Eric!
Very cool lesson, well done !
Hey. We need more of this FROM YOU!!! thanks
You won my instant respect once I noticed the 'Blueprint' record on the wall behind you. 'Unmilitary Two-Step' is the song I'm learning to play at the moment. Rory is my favorite electric blue guitarist!
Great video and very helpful. Liked and subscribed.
wow. amazing teaching and amazing playing.
Love t-bone and this helps me a lot, thanks
Great lesson. I subscribed after the intro! Thank you!
Dude, love what you are doing.
Your set up sounds great 👍
This was even better than the Hendrix video. Did we learn anything ? You explain the why and how and that's the difference between telling and teaching. That 1/2 step approach is fundamental to walking bass too. A jazz fundamental. Keep it up man , this is incredible stuff ! Not to mention that Lester sounds sweeeeet.
Thanks man. I love T-bone Walker. He sounds like no-one else.
Excelente! Muchas gracias maestro, entendí casi todo :)
Great lesson ♠️
Great lesson. Thanks so much 🖖🏻🎸
good stuff man
Great video! Thanks a lot!
Great lesson. Thank you✌
hehe, starting to like the sound of this Les Paul
I really enjoyed this video. I've been doing T-bone Walker chords for years and didn't know it!
Man these sound SO good. I’m gonna steal some of these chords lol
Thank you… nice overview video.
Thanks for this info, appreciate you sharing your knowledge!
Great video about a Blues Master.
You play it badass.
If you come to Jacksonville Florida you need to come play!
Great playing brother! Woo hoo
Cool stuff Eric. You and I have a lot in common. Been a gigging guitar player for 40 years and a shooter even longer. Wish I lived closer, would love a jam and shoot. That Les Paul looks like the one John who ran the Vanderbilly guitar site sold a few years back. I used to do online lessons there. The minor7b5 was a T Bone staple. Wholetone riffs work nice over that augmented chord.
very good!
Really enjoyed watching this. Now I know … T bone Walker! Tnx
Yesssssssss, thanks a bunch Eric. Need more lessons. I need to suck less, shred more lol!
Awesome playing man, really cool. I think the b chord is an insinuated 2 chord which as you know is crucial to the turnaround in jazz. 1-6-2-5 simplified to 2-5-1 to 2-5 and finally where 2 is 5, if that makes sense 😅 and dude I had no idea you played as this is the first time I’ve seen this forum but know the firearm one. You’re the best Eric!
Bravo
I admired the way that he pulled himself out of mistakes... a smooth caddy can slide on out without people noticing too much.--> As for us when we make a mistake we instantly start to dig looking for a way out.... I'm starting to learn how to slip slide out better.
Humongous BB King guy 🤣🤣
Dude, that's one hellava great guitar lesson in blues 👍
thank you
Thans a lot
That was a cheeky little burner in the intro! Nice vibrato too :)
(Iraqveteran...I mean.....you sent me here)
hi eric , thanks ,that's great .i'm discovering T BONE thats great and most helpfull. Now i just have to decipher the little soloing part . please do some more !
Curious how did you achieve your tone? Sounds fantastic 👏
wow , just going down a jump blues rabbit hole, and here's eric himself.....long way from Moss Pawn
Hello and thank you, that is indeed a very important lesson ,hopefully i already know a couple of chords there ,but still it has been a relief when i discovered i already knew the Bmin6 add 9 ,i was trying to do it with my thumb when a big smile came ,because there 's a lot tpo learn here ,
T Bone Walker' s records are something i play on since many years now ,"evenin" is one of my favourite songs ,and that is true that you going to find yourself moving a chord sometimes all along the neck ,T Bone 's style is something between jazz and blues ,i li,ke to play with him as he doesn't solo all the time ,he has that very special style and a beautifull and inspiring voice ......
The Bmin6 add 9 is going to have a new name if you play it at the sercond or third fret etc lol ,but in a middle of a solo if you go back on the G for instance and you play this chord with a little tremolo bar at the end ,a sweet one ,and you are in SRV territory ,i am happy to see that T Bone used this chord many years before him ,i think Stevie uses a lot of T Bone's struff in his rockabilly solos too(i -suppose-so) ,i personnally stole that chord from Stevie ,but mostly with my eyes lol ......
I use "he is doing" not "he was doing" respectfully ,these guys are gone but their music is alive ....
From Moss Pawn and Gun? Sweet player my man! And the guitar is pretty as well! Ever come across a Godin Montreal Premier Ltd in desert green?
Damn my dog you have the blues so bad! Been really diggin' some Tbone lately and glad you have given me some things to work on! Keep jammin' brother!
Eric - I can’t tell you how many times I’ve come back to this. Thank you so much for doing this. You were really on your game for this one. This video totally. Thank you. I have a question about the calluses.? It’s a bit challenging. I can play… RATT , Steve Stevens stuff all day. But I love T-bone Walker. I think the sliding back-and-forth is hard on my fingers. Do you have any TIPS?
Relax your hand
Aye aye Cap’n. I especially enjoy your linguistic delivery on this video. Inspiring! It’s clear that you love T-bone as much or more than the rest of us and it really shows. For now I’ll play a simple, slow blues without walking up and down. That sliding around is tough on my fingers man.
Your lingo midway through the 11 minute mark is so insightful the way you delivered it. Opens doors in my mind as far as the purpose of the court voicings. I’m sure with practice. I will also incorporate this into my approach to the guitar. Thanks again Erik.
We agree on Benellis, we agree on Gibsons. Right on.
We get it
Thanks for the lesson. Out of curiosity, what is the album on the far right on the wall; the title is obscured by the guitar neck. Thanks.
The King of the "Turnaround" was Lightning Hopkins!!!
wew man you are legit
Hi. Thx a lot for the lesson. It was super great. However, I got confused at 6.45 when you say it is an A7 add 9 chord. In my world it is an A9 and some seconds later you say it is a D7 add 9 chord. In my world it is a D9.
You guys need to run a college course on blues history or something lol. I'm going to have to try this out next I'm I play.
called A9, no "add 9" or C#m7b5 or Emin6. Ideas good, though
Nice video. That deluxe sounds great. What year is it?
1972
Next month i will buy my first ar15 Afedarm guitar🇵🇱❤🇺🇸
Are you going to be doing new lessons? Or have content elsewhere? Your a good teacher.
Nice work, but I think your Bmin6add9 is just a Bmin6, because there is not 9 or C# in your chord fingering. Am I wrong?
I was writing this sentence "Never knew Iraqiveteran888 could play guitar" as a joke, but it's him!!!!1. I've been playing T-Bone Walker style blues just for decades in fact just as long as I'm watching his gun videos! This is weird but so fucking briljant!
I thought his voice sounded familiar. Is it iraqiveteran888?
T-Bone Walker'ish crossover with modern Blues Rock phrasing ?
yes humbuckers finalmente
16:00
T-Bone would never play that. But nice progression.
🐩
That's one sexy Les Paul.
Bro you look just like this dude that has a firearm channel. Iraqveteran8888
Bone wasn’t using his thumb or play with his bare fingers at all. He used a pick and had a pretty heavy attack too. With that said , nothing wrong with your approach. Great video otherwise.
