Depending on how much weight you are carrying in the krate, but you can also use straps that have Cam buckles, and simply shorten then sop these is not too much loose strap hanging around.
The best crate storage system on the market so far, been a hobie fan, better than the h crate, and pretty much all the others’ awesome design by wilderness systems’
I learned the hard way not to bungee my crate to the Yak. I use 4 lengths of paracord with a loop on one end and cinch the crate down. Or I'll screw flat straps to the kayak that snap through the crate. It was a $1000+ lesson for me
Nice review and great crate. I own a jkrate for my Jackson but this would be my second choice. I like the fact water doesn’t come in easy at all as it’s kinda sealed up. Good job wilderness
Thanks for watching, yes they came with the krate - although I believe that may have changed now, and you order them through Wildy. However, I only use one most of the time now, as they take up as much space as a plano box and I found I kept putting stuff in them that I was rarely if ever using. If they were single sided that maybe a better bet, but no idea what the flip side would then do.
Great video but I'm interested in the second bag that you were using the orange one with the velcro can you please give me the name or a link to that one I really would like to have one of those thank you
Thanks for watching - It is called Precission Pak www.precision-pak.net/itm/778682/107501/FISHING/Storage-Bag/BAG-95390/Precision-Pak-Fish-Storage-Bag-BAG-95390?catspath=80460%7C80487
Thanks for watching, and asking the question. The answer is No, it did not. The holder is part of Wildy's mesh storage solutions range, and can be sourced from any Wilderness dealer. I have attached a link to my video on those accessories ua-cam.com/video/UKKjOVeCVb4/v-deo.html
Hi Rob, appreciate that you watched the video, to answer your question, they are called a Bungee Tie Down, Wilderness Systems have them available, or you can go to your local Walmart, or Hardware - commonly they are used to attach tarps to tray backs and trailers. Here is a link to Walmart (I assume you are US located) www.walmart.com/ip/12-Stretch-Cords-Ball-6-Elastic-Bungee-Strap-Tarp-Tie-Down-Bungy-Canopy-Cord/123709831
weedsnager thanks for watching the video. The mesh pockets on the back of the seat are manufactured by wilderness systems. I have another video explaining to options they have in that range. Check it out.
3 years later for ya mate and I’m commenting cos I bought a second hand Wilderness Systems Commander 120 . First purchase was the kayak krate 👍👍😎
All good mate, I still use mine all the time, and still love it
I was looking for a way to tie this down in my yak...thank you for the review helped so much!

Couldn't agree more! And thanks so much for taking the time to watch my video - appreciate it.

Im withya - I use small cam straps now - similar but smaller, to what I use to strap the yaks down. Great pick up, and thanks for watching.
whats wrong with bungee?
@@markstephenson7050 the paracord doesn't give... the bungee does

Thanks for stopping by and glad you liked the review, have a great time on the water
I think that might be the smartest crate I’ve seen.
Robert Butcher Im not sure about its inteligence but it sure works well. Thanks fpr watching.
Thank you for sharing this with us 😀
Thank you so much for watching.
Nice set up! Are the clip in mesh holders in the krate something you made/ or purchased separately , or do they come with the krate?

Did the rear of your seat come with holders or is that something you added?

Rod N Paddle awesome thank you!
What is the name of those tie downs you're using?

Looks much more useful than the insanely overpriced blackpack from yakattack.
What organizer do you have on the back of the seat ?
weedsnager thanks for watching the video. The mesh pockets on the back of the seat are manufactured by wilderness systems. I have another video explaining to options they have in that range. Check it out.
weedsnager the video is titled "Fishing kayak accessories"
boxes look like 3600, not 3700.
Good pick up, they are. but the krate also takes the 37's.
Thanks for the watch and comment
très bonne caisse :)
