- I got roped in by my co-workers to participate in the Oxfam Trailwalker, a 100km walk across the Dandenong Ranges in Melbourne.
It was a unique experience, a great adventure and a big challenge and in the end we unfortunately fell about 15km short of reaching the finish line.
I took took a lot of vlog footage along the way and figured it'd be a nice way to share the experience in a (very compressed) video format that you can enjoy from your couch.

I liked that I could come along for the walk without even leaving my bed :)
+Fables in Fashion Next time that is exactly what I am going to do as well! :D
LOL
Well done on the hike , we did it a few years ago and not easy and it’s a mental torture , your video is the best out there thank you
Thank you for your comment :) The trek sure was quite a challenge - but it was a great bonding experience for everyone in our team
I recently started training for a 100 km walk myself. I just reached 21 km this weekend. I will NEVER underestimate walking again. I really enjoyed watching your video. Too bad you didn't make it all the way though
Thank you for the awesome comment :) It was a tough walk and we just couldn't manage any more after the 80km mile. Respect to anyone who completes this challenge (or is daring enough to give it a shot)!
So close! We gotta try again next year :)
Haha, I reckon some of the other's might be in, I myself am not sure I need to repeat the experience :) My legs did not like me after this for quite a long time... XD
Got Your Feet Busted!
It's tough psychologically... I did practice for this year... Unfortunately could not get partners in time as my team backed out last minute... This is for Bangalore event
57.6 miles, equates to about 2.02 miles traveled per hour is fantastic! What electronic gear did you use on this trip? Nice pacing and overall PP on the video!
+Vintage Electronics Geek Thank you, we did walk pretty quick up until the end when we just couldn't walk any more haha! I filmed this with my Canon G7X - love that camera :)
Good effort to get to 84ks, I've done a couple of Fraser island walks recently, only 15-20ks and they almost killed me lol
+OBSiDiAN 351 Haha thank you, 84km was a lot more than I've ever walked in one stretch before and we were absolutely finished before we got to the actual finish XD There's some beautiful tracks in Australia, but I think I prefer walking no more than 20km :)
I need to get out and walk more, just thinking of it makes me feel lazy lol
People with ocd must hate you ending at 84.6km.
Hahaha, probably, at least it wasn't at 99.9. It was a bummer to drop out at the last check point, but we weren't in any condition to get through another 6h of walking
yeah, you did well though.
Toby do u have to be 18+ to join with 4 others
Not 100% sure but I think you do cause you can seriously injure yourself and unless you're 18+ they may not let you participate
