After a few years of loving my discmania essence, I think it's time for something with a touch more stability. The stag looks like the perfect step up for those glidey hyzer flips!
Tried so hard to get a Neo Essence into my bag since its so loved. But I just can't trust it so far... Keeping to my very much more understable 10 speed Viking Discs Berserker, I trust it more and it can go far, also got a L64 Sapphire and Saint and a Viking Discs Cosmos for the turnovers I am wishing to throw ;D Guess I should look at this disc, it seems to flip up more easy than the numbers suggests.
@@Iliyena87 agreed. The zen meta essence is a tad more stable, but mine are too seasoned at this point. The saint is very similar. In the right plastic it could be money.
@@mindlander I've got a VIP and a VIP-X Stag and they compliment each other perfectly. Stag in VIP-X you can hammer on pretty good with a forehand and it holds up nicely. Backhand a regular Stag is just amazing, I find it to have more glide than a River. I don't throw it sometimes cause it will go too far, lol.
I am waiting and waiting for some Opto Keystones to come out again!!! I’m constantly going back and forth between the Pure and Keystone…right now I’m team keystone!
My VIP Stag is a little less stable than the run you're throwing here and I think the VIP-X I have is more stable than the Matty-O VIP-X you're throwing here. So, a little less overlap between the two. I really love my Stags but have also been an Escape bagger since I started, lol. I'm more likely to throw the Escape with more power I guess, I never really rip into a Stag, it goes far at just 70%, wooded, or downhill shots. Stag is sooo good for those slight downhill shots, it just goes straight and glides forever without fading out.

unrelated to this particular video except for your ace footage, but I want a premium plastic Keystone SO BAD!!! Gold would be perfect.

@Beaver Branch Disc Golf Adventures I am just now seeing that the Latitude 64 factory store has Opto Keystones in stock!!!
@@cjt1982 yes! I’m hoping they eventually get to the states!!!

Agree Stag a great disc, but I’ve got 3-4 Escapes at the moment that hold that spot (and line) in the bag at the moment.
