Thank you, there is so much building waste around here, and some friends will drop some of their stuff in there to fill it up a bit more. Win-win because they get to recycle their waste and we don't have to pay for ballast.🗑️🧱😀
@@deranocasper long term, yes, it will be just that, a workshop and garage (man cave) but will need substantial work on the roof and doors. Sadly that is down the domestic priority list so I’ll get to it when I can.
Another lovely video of you two hard working, lovely people. The tap in your outdoor kitchen is a luxury , well done. Brings back so many memories of our off grid life, and the very simple luxuries we created over the years. Can't wait to see the bed. Love from Spain ❤️
Thank you, it was an early essential, and now with a bit of refinement will become our go-to place for the coming months. Very pleased with how it is improving step by step. 🚰😎🇵🇹
The kitchen is one step closer to being easier to work with. I hope a large 20'X20' tarp is in your plans for the future kitchen. That will give you plenty of shade, It would allow you to put up plastic sheets, like a close line, to keep you warm in the winter. I don't blame, The Mrs. for wanting a digger to close up the trench. I would put my foot down too. Too many aches and pains from moving dirt around. I'd bake a cake before I would move that much dirt.
Thank you, you are quite right on future plans for the kitchen cover. I’m thinking about going with a rigid frame and roofing sheets to provide sun and rain protection. Watch this space. ☀️🇵🇹🌧️😀
I know you currently can't have fires in Portugal, but my Dad would put anything which would need a new wooden handle in the fire, to burn out the old handle stump.
You are very kind, thank you. The dogs are part of the background and we hardly notice them. They bark a few times a day, probably at feeding times, so they are sometimes behind us as we work. It is all part of the landscape now. 👍❤️🇵🇹
Thanks a lot. There is lots of advice out there, and the idea of burying deep with gravel sounded sensible. Time will tell. We are trying to avoid connection to the grid if we can. I think it was my mistake to have aligned the panels badly. When I lined them up better, the battery charged quickly. Again, living and learning each day. 👍😎🔋
Broken tile idea for the drive is a😅 good idea. The kitchen looks lovely
