they are carrying inert lee enfield mk iv rifles without magazine and cartridges loaded.

@@phenylmusic Even though they are inert, the Lee Enfield No.4 MKI through MKIII are not drop safe, so theoretically if they were functional rifles when they are slammed down on the ground you could have a negligent discharge. In the Canadian drill manual you are taught to slowly and carefully bring the rifle to the position of order arms(within the timings of the movement). I don't know if you understood any of that but I am a Sergeant in the Royal Canadian Air Cadets and plan on moving to the actual military when I age out.
