- Agents Coulson and Sitwell face a problem in this clip from "Marvel One-Shot: The Consultant," available exclusively on the "Thor" Blu-ray on shelves September 13!

For anyone arguing about "The Consultant's" identity, it is clearly Stark. At the end of Iron Man 2, Fury told him that, as opposed to being an official member, he would be a consultant.
Someone should edit Iron Man 2, Thor and Hulk into one cohesive movie, since they all happen in the same week. Interconnected stories, much like Infinity War.

For those of you upset with Sitwell, his actor is campaigning for a one-shot where it's revealed he's actually a Triple agent (as ordered by Nick Fury) to investigate Pierce and to not break cover even after Fury's "death" in TWS
Well, the only shorts they've made since "All Hail the King" are "WHiH" & "Team Thor", both of which are basically just promo pieces.

So what I'm gathering from this is: Those in charge of SHIELD want to recruit Abomination (He does have useful skills if under control), but Coulson knows that's a bad idea, so they're at a diner trying to decide what to do. Coulson is going to send Tony Stark to General Ross to try and "recruit" Abomination. However, Coulson knows Tony is an annoying dick and Ross will do the opposite of what he wants, and not allow Abomination to join the Avengers.
This is why Tony is at the end of "IH."

Another hint is the end of The Incredible Hulk when Stark is Talking to Ross.
Probably at least around the same time since Iron Man 2's ending had Hulk's new bulletin as one of the screens in the background of Stark's profile rundown.
@MrElliotpaige Agreed, since Maria Hill and Sharon Carter will be getting into the Avengers movie it would be awesome to see Coulson finally get a roll in the Marvel comics.One problem with 616 right now of course is that SHIELD doesn't exactly exist at present since the Secret Invasion and the removal of HAMMER.
EXPLANATION, Tony Stark is The Consultant, at the end of IronMan 2, the Avengers contract refers to him as such, also they'er talking about sending someone to talk to General Ross, and at the end of The Incredible Hulk it shows Tony talking to Ross in a bar about "putting a team together" also it can not be DeadPool because Fox owns the rights to him, X-Men, Spider-Man, etc. therefor Paramount (Who owns the Avengers and all its characters) are not legally allowed to use them.

@TheKisameHoshikagi They are talking about releasing the Hulk and they are trying to figure out who to send to convince the general to let them. The consultant is Tony Stark (Iron Man) and if you watch the after-credits scene of the Hulk you see Tony go and talk to the General about the Avengers Initiative. At the ends of: The Hulk, Iron man 1 & 2, Thor and Captain America there are clips after the credits that show Nick Fury recruiting them all to The Avengers Initiative, the film 'The Avenger

No, it's Emil Blonsky who's in General Ross's custody, not the Hulk. And the agents are trying to figure out a way to get Ross to refuse to release Blonsky, as they know what a bad idea it would be to have Blonsky on the team. Sending Stark to talk to Ross was meant to prevent Blonsky's release, which was a success.
He didn't. The World Security Council made that call. Coulson protects Fury from having to either a) disobey the WSC, or b) recruit Abomination by purposefully getting the offer rejected by Ross & his Hulkbusters.

@VibraniumProductions This interests me too - it gives hope to the idea of the Abomination's return in a future movie. The Leader has of course been set up in Incredible Hulk too and there's a good chance for Ten Rings and the Manadrin to be the focus of a future Iron Man film.
Didn't know that Stan had that sign on deal - they're definitely preparing for something Winter Soldier related for the Captain America movies.

To offend Nick Fury, someone who'll be arrogant and abrasive: clearly he means Wolverine. He is, after all, the best at what he does.
It makes sense that the consultant would be Tony Stark. They talked about hiring him on as a consultant and only a consultant at the end of Iron Man 2, as he was all the thing describe in the video above to be consider for anything else (at least the time). Also Tony is seen talking to general Ross at the end of the incredible Hulk. This is more then likely, the very (casual) debriefing talked about in the video above.
Wait, I get it. We've already seen them execute their plan. Tony Stark (consultant at the end of Iron Man 2) was sent by these guys to talk to General Ross. The Hulk happened AFTER the first two Iron Man movies. That's why Stark is on board with the team Fury wants to assemble in the Hulk and but not at the start of Iron Man 2! This makes a lot of sense. I feel smart.
@DeadpoolAndFriends I agree. It just shows that Blu-Ray isn't doing that well. If it was they would've just included the features on both DVD and Blu-Ray but had them in HD on Blu-Ray. They actually feel the need to make the DVD version crappier to make people buy the Blu-Ray. All of them are doing this now. Up until around 2008/2009 DVDs were packed with extras but now they're all on Blu-Ray. Thor has 11 deleted scenes on Blu-Ray but only 4 on DVD. Bull!

Have you seen Firefly? Simon and River had apparent deaths for the movie, but they came back to life a little bit after. This is the same thing.
I always imagined Nick Fury to be an intelligent man with an eye for the facts and a sense of justice. Having said that, it completely baffles me that he tries to recruit Abomination instead of Hulk.
Abomination at base level is stronger than the Hulk... he is an intelligent tactician and has great hand-to-hand training since Blonsky's experience in the British military. He might also be more persuasive because of him retaining his human intelligence. But overall, I do agree that the Hulk was a better choice.

Well, yes, Disney owns all of the Marvel guys, but what the poster MEANT to say is that Deadpool and all X-Men related characters are Licensed by Fox. While Fox holds that license, no other studio can make films featuring those characters. Fox will continue to hold the license as long as they make a film every few years, and pay their royalties on time. Disney/Marvel can't use Deadpool, even though they own him, in a feature.

Even though there's really no mystery whatsoever - Tony Stark's "the consultant", it's pretty obvious from the ending scenes of 'The Incredible Hulk' and 'Iron Man 2' -, this gives off a sort of Lost vibe to me. It reminds me of the post-ending miniepisode detailing the aftermath of the finale, in the best way possible. So I'm liking this, although Clark Gregg's acting feels a bit off here.
