This is usually always swept to the side because of the hype surrounding the 5-stars but is also an underrated topic of discussion concerning the banners' value.

Same. my xingqiu is only c1 and i've tried c6 before which feels like a difference from a really great 4 star to a 5 star character.
Agreed on yanfei, I main her since her first release and as a yanfei main it took me like 1 year to fully get to her most potential (c6, triple crowned , good artifacts) to actually enjoy her gameplay. And when i don't feel like playing her i just switch to jp va and enjoy her voice bc its fan tas tic
I like yanfei being on the banner. If you have certain constellations she makes for a great pyro tank/shield dps and even without constellations she's an underrated Charged attack dps when built right plus she's great for medium range attacks when the enemy keeps moving around.
Xinque is great if your account is new and you need a hydro app char but otherwise he's a bit of a pass since I have ayato and he works great for me. I'm not happy about Barbara since most players move on from her once they get Xingque or yelan or any other hydro char. But then again that's how genshin banners work. They tend to have atleast one unpopular 4 star.
I want neuvillette c1. Hopefully I can get rainsword and Jean little sister to c6.

"Greatest of all time" has lost all its meaning when people just throw "GOAT-ed" around as another way to just say "great".
Forget about Yanfei, if i were a brand new player i would pull for Neuvillete banner no doubt, him and barbara and the free Lynette make a decent enough team, bonus points for getting barbara C2, plus Xingqiu and Dendro traveler plus any electro make a decent Hyperbloom team, that would cover most of the early story and early abyss needs
I definitely use yelan when I need just raw DMG esp with her passive; but when I need hydro app for reactions I use xq or both together!! I have a killer overload team so I don't need hydro on both halves typically
How is that a hot take on yanfei. I have never seen someone used her.

This banner IMO has the much better four stars - but since I already got all of them C6, the last banners 4*'s were more tempting for me, lul
I wish yun jin would be on this side cuz I still need her for my ayato team I am planning. As for Barbara I bench her for qiqi and don’t reget it

The 4-star characters on the upcoming banners are recommended for beginners. But for veterans, especially those who already had these characters reached C6, might as well skip the banner.
I was planning to skip the upcoming banners, if it wasn't for Kazuha and Neuvillette.
i'm at 9 pity with a guarantee. should I build pity on chiori banner? I want neuvilettte but i do not want to waste my 4 star luck, I'd probably go to 30 pity
That risk is up to you. Personally, I’d (Ryft) recommend not building pity at all, especially when you have a guarantee.

I really want a c6 Barbara. But the risk of getting the 5 star is not worth it. I already have Neuvillette and don’t want Kazuha (sucrose supremacy).
Sort of a disappointing 4* line up for me. Only interesting one for me is yanfei because I’m currently c3 and c4 unlocks tankfei, but I’d rather save for future units.
I have both neuvi and kazuzu. Still most likely skipping arlechino

i think this banner really prioritizes new players as both neuvi and kazu are meta character that many new players would want to have and they also get xingqiu in the process... and what would you rather have as 4 stars than this? if you are old player, you probably already have the cons of all good ones by now.. and there are not really many good 4 stars worth getting cons of, so characters like bennett, xingqiu, xiangling will be featured more often which is good for everyone, new or old.
xq having more hydro app than yelan isnt a hot take, its widely known that xq has a decent chunk more hydro app
Expect 1/2 the comments to be filled with bot accounts talking about how amazing the 4 stars are.

I, personally, favor versatility over pure raw damage (why Dori is one of my favorite characters). So Xingqiu ranks higher then Yelan for me. He just offers so much compared to her. Damage reduction, stagger resist, hydro shred, hydro app...dude even has a little healing in there just because. Yelan is just damage.
I mean, I don't like either of them as characters...but if I was going to use one or the other, definitely would be Xingqiu.
Yanfei on the other hand is one of those characters that feel so clunky to play that it borders on impossible. But this is coming from a Klee main who is used to being able to cancel all their attacks and nothing in her kid being a hard commitment.
What I mean by that is that Yanfei's charge attack, her bread and butter, cannot be cancelled at all. Like, if you have to dodge that attack is disappears into the ether and you lose so much damage because of that. Can't even dodge during at attack animation or that's gone too. She's also a terrible lawyer so also ends up on the list of characters I don't like, but at least I can admit that Tankfei is an interesting idea for a support since her shield is actually really good.
Also, Barbara...Barbruh, more like. Nothing like making yourself wet to give your enemies access to all the best reactions in the game. At least healing has become more important in the game so she's not bad. Though I do find it funny that she had an unintended effect to where they had to rework how the hydro application of her ring worked when it came to bloom.
doesn’t yelan also offer much more off field damage paired with a quite large dmg% bonus to the on field chara? xq’s healing also isn’t even notable. if you need the xq heal ur probably going to die and need a sustain

Xingqiu also offers damage reduction and stagger resist. Also the healing might not be noticeable in a large fight, it is still there and it is still doing something. It still adds to his versatility and, even if you didn't notice, can and probably has saved your life multiple times.
I know he has saved my life in an Abyss run because of one time I actually looked at my HP bar.
He also still offers a hydro shred and more hydro application then Yelan which, in any bloom centric team, you would want over Yelan.

These banners were already an easy skip. This just makes it even easier. One 4 star I don't care for and two others who I don't have much interest in getting constellations for at this point in time? Hard pass.
How os Neuvillete and Kazuha an easy skip? They may just be the 2 out of the 3 best characters in game
