    Leading the pack is Lovebites, a power metal sensation that's been compared to the likes of DragonForce, with their impressive guitar solos and powerful vocals. Next is Band-Maid, a hard rock ensemble that combines the raw energy of AC/DC with the theatricality of Kiss.
    Aldious, a band that's been rocking since 2008, has a style reminiscent of Iron Maiden, with their intricate guitar melodies and high-octane performances. NEMOPHILA, on the other hand, brings a more modern metalcore vibe that echoes bands like Bullet for My Valentine.

      Also love them all, but LOVEBITES and NEMOPHILA top my list. Sad to see that NARUMI moved on from LONESOME_BLUE. Really rooting for them as they had strong mentorship form ASAMI and MAO from LOVEBITES, but I'd say the band to watch now is EAST OF EDEN, who just happens to have the drummer from LONESOM_BLUE, MAZUKI and the support violinist AYASA, and they also have composition support by MAO. WAKAZAEMON, and non-other that YUKI from D_DRIVE who are both elite-class musicians rounding out the strings section with AKANE on vocals makes EAST OF EDEN a Super Band.

    The Japanese (female) metal boom is something that we really needed - fresh, unique approach by insanely talented and dedicated musicians. I always had a sweet spot in my heart for the Land of the Rising Sun...and not so much ago finally I discovered their metal scene - it's totally addictive!!! (and yes, I love a lot of Japanese bands but my vote goes to Lovebites as my faves, they are so un-fckin-believably good! Not mentioned in the comments yet: don't forget about Saiseiga ;) )

    Here's a nice little story for you. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...I was watching a Mary's Blood video and off to the side was a recommended video of this band called Lovebites. The song was "When Destinies Align." I clicked on the video and, shall we say, the rest is history. There are many great Japanese female bands out there, but Lovebites has become my favorite. My journey to J-metal started during covid, while watching reactions, when i decided to give a chance to a band i was constantly neglecting 'cause they seemed to be an abomination-little girls?in tutu's?calling themselves "METAL"? Yeah,right... "Gimme choco"-confused, "Headbanger"-ok, "Megitsune"-hooked. I started listening to them more and more while checking for other stuff too."Thrill" was what got me into Band-Maid. They have some really amazing songs but they're not metal and their "chaotic" sound isn't for me. Nemophila, Asterism, Sokoninaru,Ningen Isu...And one day i stumbled upon Lovebites. The first 2 encounters were dissapointing-"Glory,Glory to the World" and "Winds of Transylvania" were way too powermetal for me.And i hate(d) powermetal! I was about to stop listening to them when in a thumbnail a very beautyful woman was performing a Chopin piano cover (hmmm, these ladies are classicaly trained,ok,ok,i dig it!) in a song the title of which strongly reminded me of Tchaikovski's "Swan Lake", a favourite of mine since childhood. And i stayed...

      Tank you very much for your journey, the band that sing "Gimme chooco" are BABY METAL, they are different than only female metal bands, but they have found theire own style with stage poerformance with dancing, and they are huge, I think they are the largest/most popular band out there internationaly. Lovebites also found theire own kindof style, and different form manyother Japanese bands, theu sing in english. So I think they are aiming internationaly too, even that Band-Maid sing in Japanese, they are popular, so we never know what people like, but one this is sure, they all make great music, I just ove it, and Glory Glory To The World, OMG, love it, headbanging to the end 😎😎🖤🖤

    Yeah, yeah, I'm the Babymetal Fan dropping in his 2 cents worth but....
    In 2012 Psy turned the collective heads of the West to the East with Gangnam Style! As that Juggernaut started to fade in late 2013 and into 2014, people started searching for more, many found the Japanese Rock and Metal Scene...and more specifically, Babymetal was the group that held their attention at that time and thus became the biggest act out of Japan of all time.
    So I have stated many times, and I still hold it as true, that Babymetal is the group that sold the West on Japanes Metal.
    And yes, I know the argument that Babymetal isn't a band because they don't play instruments...but neither does Rob Halford and many Many Front People do not. And yes, Technically Babymetal is just the Girls with a Kick Ass Backing Band...but Dude, it's all Awesome sounds regardless of the grouping politics.
    So my point is you Can Not leave out Babymet in a list like this. It's like naming early Metal Bands without adding in Black Sabbath or Blue Oyster Cult. Even if you think others are doing it better, you can't leave out the one group most people recognize as the one that did it first..and by first I mean the first group to Blow Up on the World Metal Stage. (homage to X-Japan but we are talking girl power here..LoL!!).
    Just my two pennies worth.

      Hi, thank you very much for your comment and point of view. I am a fan of Baby Metal, I will see them live on 14 November this year, so i will make a Review on it after I have seen them. The reason they are not on this list is because this list are about band with opnly female members, but I realize now that the txt and description do not make that clear, so I will add it. But Baby Metal will be in a episode, as I got a tip from @hiawatha.g on this comment field. He gave me an ide' to make a mix band serie. I have two episodes in making before I can start on that one. To make a video like this takes time, but it will come.
      And yes, we (metal fans) have a lot to thank Baby Metal for to bring Japanese metal on the scene. Inmy early days it was only LOUDNESS I knew, and 20 years later a lot of female Japanes metal bands showed up, real girl power 😎🤘

    • @watcher2554
      @watcher2554 Рік тому +5

      @@leonite-reacts Babymetal kinda fall in that grey area....technically Babymetal is only the girls, but they don't play instruments. But there is no denying what is given when the Kami Band is added behind them. So they fall into both categories of Idol group and Metal Band!! Just another thing that makes Babymetal Unique!!
